Good afternoon all
Weather has been dry and sunny so Mr Yogi cut the grass and I potted on some plants Iâve grown from seed. They are supposed to be bonsai rose plants but weâll see how they turn out.ð
Thanks El and Squiggle, it was great to see the tiddlers.
I saw that bear clip - that girl was soo calm!
Have a good day and stay safe, everyone
Yogi and Moonie, I was surprised that the woman was so calm. I don't know what was happening before that clip started as to did she do anything to encourage the bear to sniff her hair which would be reckless of here. Certainly shouldn't have taken a selfie.
Years ago someone gave my brother a bonsai tree. I've never asked him how that went.

Probably the best thing to do not to try to run off. It may have caused the bear to run after her and attack.
Re the bear El...
Identify yourself by speaking in a calm, appeasing tone. Back away slowly, preferably in the direction you came. Walk, don't run, and keep your eye on the bear so you can see how it will react. In most cases, the bear will flee.

Re the recent BBC/ITV/Channel 4/Channel 5 recent short film:
The music used by that is taken from the second half of Oneohtrix Point Never's "Chrome Country":
Good morning Buddies
The sun is just beginning to make it way from behind the clouds. No rain forecast so it could be a nice day
Have a lovely day everyone
After a quiet couple of weeks I've got a decent sized client job arriving either tomorrow or Friday. Should keep me occupied for a couple of weeks

Oh, good luck with that El
If you've never seen the lunchtime quiz show "The Boss" (Susan Calman) on the BBC (currently being repeated on BBC Two) episode 12 of the first series is my pick. This episode in particular is one of the nicest programmes I've seen.

I doubt if you'll see anything all as nice on television all year.
Evening all
Raining all day so no washing out for me today, Moonie
El, I love Baloo the bear. Good news about the new client work, Iâm really pleased for you
Moonie, I have noted the advice regarding bears, just in case I come across one.
Hope youâve all had a good day

Good morning everyone
Cloudy here and some showers forecast.
Mars is getting rather busy with the UAE sending a rocket off to there 3 days ago, China sent one today, and the USA sending one next Thursday:

I noticed in the Radio Times magazine that it has the Talking Pictures channel showing a 1964 film called "A Distant Trumpet" a western which was Raoul Walsh's last film as a director. He had an extraordinarily long career as a director working for some 52 years. In 1928 he lost his right eye when a jackrabbit leapt through the windscreen in his automobile. As a result he wore an eyepatch over that eye for the rest of his life.
The Radio Times schedule showing the running time as 75 minutes which would include adverts. That seemed odd to me as that seemed to be too short. So I checked it out. Talking Pictures is showing a different film, a British 1952 film called "Distant Trumpet" (the Raoul Walsh film is just under 2 hours long).
Good morning everyone
A lovely sunny start to the day here. However, rain will be sweeping in by 3pm
Have a lovely day, all
The box from that client arrived a couple of hours ago. Now waiting for the memory stick to arrive - he posted that separately. Can't do any work until that arrives as his spreadsheets are on that. The box contains 2 lever arch files full of supporting documentation. I'm not intending to start on the work until next week.

Good sense to post them separately though El
El, the Baggies got promoted to the Premier League last night
We had to get at least a point and hope Brentford drew or lost. They lost and we drew
We are up amongst the big boys again now. We just have to remain there
I see one of the Championship is Cardiff v Swansea. That will be an absolute cracker
Afternoon all
Rainy this morning and dry and cloudy atm.
I forgot to say yesterday that I love Susan Calman, she is brilliant.
The idea of Mars getting busy made me smile
Hopefully the memory stick will arrive in plenty of time for you to start the work next week, El
Moonie, could you please send me some of your sunshine?
Have a good day and stay safe, everyone

Wafts some sunshine to Yogiland
I hope you have a good day too

Though no sign of the memory stick. First class letter post to here no longer means that it will arrive the following day. I've had letters from my brother which have taken the best part of a week to get here even though sent first class.

I had seen that WBA had been promoted
Apaprently there's no real place called East Bromwich. West Bromwich was so called to differentiate it from Castle Bromwich which is a village about 8 miles to the east.

Susan Calman does come across as likeable
It's just a case of waiting for that memory stick to arrive. It's not essential that I get started next week. I am still waiting to get (online) the documents from another client to do their VAT return and I would have to do that as soon as I get it so that it gets filed on time.
