Evening all

Mixed weather today....some sunshine and quite a few showers.

Loving the pics and links today, El

Moonie, I’m guessing you didn’t get your washing out today?

Hi Yogi

Its started raining here not long after I said it had stopped in my earlier post. It still is so no washing today

The route I take when going to M&S out of town is now closed for just over a year due to a bridge having to be replaced.
The second route I would take involves significant delays due to major roadworks which are ongoing unril some time next year. Also involves having to drive further as the obvious entrance to the car park with that route is no longer available (there's a drive past McDonalds ar the entrance which is now just for people going there).
The third route is the longest of the three but is now the only option. For the time being, It goes past junction 10 for the M5. It's intended to improve that junction in the not too distant future which will involve major delays or closure of that route.

It's certainly going to make travel between Gloucester and Cheltenham harder. I go to the Cheltenham M&S out of town store as there isn't one in Gloucester, the store in the centre of Gloucester has a much smaller food section than either the out of town one or the store in the centre of Cheltenham. And at present, M&S don't do online food shopping other than a very limited Deliveroo service (as for me it's restricted to a very small M&S site at a petrol station)

My accountancy institute has issued a warning about an upsurge in criminals making phone calls to people with a recorded message supposedly from HMRC that they are about to file a law suit against you with an instruction to press one to speak to a caseworker to arrange payment.

One of my clients has been rung twice recently and I reassured her that this was a scam - HMRC don't work in this way.

Moonie, the scammers can target anyone but in particular older people. Anyone can get a call, you don't need to be someone who completes tax returns. They are likely to ring someone more than once on the basis that the target may start to think that this is something which isn't going away and so they need to co-operate with the scammer.

*tempts fate...still no rain yet

No rain here either though it's so cloudy that some rain wouldn't be surprising. Temperature is 4 degrees lower than the July average because of the cloud cover.
