Good morning everyone
A cold grey start to the day here. Not much chance of it getting any better either
I hope you manage to enjoy today. Stay safe

Weather is cloudy - much better than the wet and windy weather of the last two days.
I like the Paris pics, El.
Have a good day and stay safe, all.

Good morning Yogi
I have just been out to put a little washing on the line. Itâs less breezier than yesterday and a little warmer
We are likely to have rain later
Have a great day and stay safe
All ends well for this bear cub with a plastic bottle stuck on its head:

The death of Carl Reiner was announced yesterday, he was 98. For me, I remember him mainly as the creator of The Dick Van Dyke Show, also the main writer of it. One of the best comedy series of its era, and of course made stars of Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore.
Good morning everyone
Itâs wet here but should brighten up a little later
Nothing planned for today
Have a great, all. Stay safe
Moonie, I hope the weather does brighten up for you
There are bits of blue sky here but I think the clouds may win out
Just been on the phone to a client to alert him to a serious matter which he will need to investigate. Too serious for me to go into any details here. Sending him details as to what I've found.

Dick Van Dyke has tweeted:
"My idol, Carl Reiner, wrote about the human comedy. He had a deeper understanding of the human condition, than I think even he was aware of. Kind, gentle, compassionate, empathetic and wise. His scripts were never just funny, they always had something to say about us."

Hi El
We have had a little sunshine but mostly wet so far

I hope the situation is resolved to yours and his satisfaction El
Just been doing a bit of local shopping. Going down one of the roads and roadworks with traffic lights there which I hadn't known about. Traffic lights stayed red for some 5 minutes even though the roadworks weren't that long. It's a 20 mph road with one of the local schools though a lot of drivers ignore that. There were a couple of traffic policemen with a mobile speed camera just before the roadworks. Don't know how far along such a speed camera covers as near the roadworks only an idiot seeing red lights would still be driving over the limit.

Thereâs always going to be one

Thanks

Not me though, I don't go over the speed limit there. There's speed bumps down the road and 20 mph signs so no excuse for those who exceed 20 mph

I know youâre more responsible than that El
Not often you get to see "Andy Murray" playing the violin as the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra plays the BBC Wimbledon theme music:

I have watched it either tbh El. To much live football to watch from various countries around the world as well as the UK

That keeps you occupied
I suspect more people will be watching live football on television rather than repeats of old Wimbldon tennis matches. Don't think BBC are showing the 2001 men's final between Goran IvaniÅĄeviÄ and Pat Rafter. That was quite a match.

It certainly does
To be honest I donât remember that match El

Here's the extended highlights of that match.
Good morning everyone it's overcast again but no rain is predicted. Plenty starting tomorrow though.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning after a busy few days, Iâve actually got the day to myself and the chance to lay in Iâm going to make the most of it.
how are you all?
El, those pictures of Paris are lovely. Iâve always wanted to go there
Good morning everyone
Rather cloudy here and potentially quite wet at times today.
Summer, years ago when I was working at a major client, I took part in a staff draw. A few days later I was told that I had got the top prize, a weekend trip to Paris. In the end I gave it back to the client for them to auction off for charity. At that time I was doing some temporary freelance work for them rather than being one of their staff so it didn't feel right for me to accept.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
We are expecting rain off and on here all day
Squiggle, I hope your day does stay dry
Sweet, enjoy your day off. You deserve it
El, very generous of you re that holiday
Enjoy your day everyone. Stay safe
Thanks Moonie but it wasn't quite as generous of me as it might seem when I mention that the trip to Paris of all places was for just one person
For those of you who are interested in astronomy, astronomers have found a previously unseen type of object circling round a star:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/sci...environment-53250819
They think it may be the solid core of a giant gas planet which has lost the gaseous surrounding the core. So what the centre core of Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus might look like.
Rained a bit this morning as I was doing some gardening but is now raining more noticably.

We just had a brief shower here but I managed to get my washing in, just in time. Only one bath towel is still slightly wet
