So at some point today this forum changes. Hopefully Lori will be on hand to deal with questions as I don't really know what this site will look like 
I'm told that the side bar down the right side will go but on the other hand it mighn't. I'm told that the forum pages which list topics will be able to be viewed either in list mode (closer to what we've got now) or card mode - but that mightn't be the case. Those pages may be paged as at present or they may be on one page which extends downwards as you scroll down (like twitter). I'm assuming that topic pages remain paged as at present but if that turns out to be on one page that won't go down well with anyone.
I believe that posting replies is as now.
Oh, and no more first unread post - that's going - no idea if that will ever come back - it didn't exist in the early years of the forum.

Moonie Iâm glad youâre feeling on the up ðĪ I hope youâre enjoying the sport thatâs beginning. My boyfriend is quarter German and the whole family love the bundeslige (pardon if I spelled it wrong), he showed me the team who have the famous crowd display wall, it looks something special
yogi, I meant to say yes I can wash the masks at 60 degrees, they are well made and feel sturdy. I can see that I can get away with wearing no makeup if Iâm wearing a mask, which is great

Reminded me that the head office of the Royal Pigeon Racing Association is in Cheltenham. The firm I used to work for did their accounts (not me) but that's why I knew this.

Not sure that it will be fun. No idea as to timing. One moment we are on a farm in Kansas, then we get swept away in a tornado to find ourselves in a strange land not knowing where we are or where to go 
HMRC have published a list of businesses which haven't complied with money laundering offences. (It's not that the business has been actually money laundering, but that they haven't done things properly such as checking proof of identity).

The reason why I mentioned that the update might have been catastrophic is because there was a possibility that all replies on a topic would have been on one page so on a thread like this one the result would be absurd. When I asked Lori, she didn't know until the change went through. As you can see, there's been no change which is just as well.

Yes, that would have been a big problem but, apart from a couple of minor issues, things seem fine.

Moonie, I hope you have managed to have a nap this afternoon
I have good news, gents! My blackbird and his wife are back *dances round the forum*
The female appeared first and collected raisins I had put on the lawn for the other blackbirds. She wasnât phased by Mr Y and I sitting at the nearby table, under the parasol and I commented to hubby that it might be her as she was very brave. Anyway, she took four or five raisins in her beak so she is obviously feeding young. Later on, we had the back door and kitchen door left open for cool air and I heard the unmistakable â tuck tuckâ sound of my male blackbird. He was sitting on the fence and waiting for me. I put raisins on the kitchen window ledge and he flew over immediately to eat some and take some away. I am soooo happy!

My window cleaner is due any day now. He has been back since lockdown and I leave the money in a little bag on the doorstep for him while he is up the ladder, so we have no contact.
