I’m sure we will get use to it El

It looks as if the update has gone through.

You'll notice that the quoted name is now shown with a @ which is the same as a mention. You'll also notice that I've quoted your post which just shows your post rather than my earlier post which you quoted. Doesn't affect any older quoted replies - those are unchanged.

That has sunk into even my brain El

As you say, Moonie, that's good news I don't know the person well enough to have any idea as to how she contacted it. It wouldn't be anything to do with the church as that's been closed for some weeks now as have all churches.

A postman knocked at my door with a parcel. I stood well back when I opened the door. It was a parcel for a near nrighbour but I didn't accept it for them. They live a couple of houses away, I've seen workmen going to and from that house recently. The people who live there are still going out during the daytime, presumably to work. I don't want to take any more risk than I have to which Is why I didn't accept the parcel.

Hi Moonie and Yogi

It's a lot sunnier here than it was but still some wispy clouds around.

Just had an email from someone at church. She mentioned that another church member who would be in her 80s had been in hospital with you know what but was now back home and recovering steadily.

That’s such good news, El

Moonie, thanks for the sunshine, it wafted right up here

Quite right, El, there is no point in taking extra risks

Watched a film called "The Next of Kin" (1942) shown on Talking Pictures yesterday evening. An unusual film in that it was a propaganda film aimed at the armed services on behalf of The War Office and The Directorate of Army Kinematography but made by Ealing Studios and was released in cinemas. A cast of professional actors and service personnel. Best known actors included 2nd. Lt. Jack Hawkins RWF and Ft. Lt. Mervyn Johns RAF.VR. - as shown in the cast.

One of the best war films made during WW2 and powerful. Of interest to anyone who is keen on that genre.
It can be seen on Youtube:
