Evening all

Summer, Mr Yogi’s power washing went well

El, my Rolling Stones now have no moss

Moonie, my favourite actor of all time, Paul Newman, was in Towering Inferno so I’ve seen it a few times.

We had a lovely visit today - contactless and socially distanced of course. My eldest son brought the tiddlers to see us - he was dropping off stuff for us, it wasn’t a non essential visit.

They stayed in the car with the windows down so they could chat to us and we stayed well away from them in the garden. It was so good to actually see them again, it really brightened our day. 😍

Rocking Ros Rose

Good morning everyone it's a little humid which has made for an uncomfortable night. Let's hope it will be a bit fresher today.

Some things I can watch again Summer and some I can't. I've got the feeling that Hill Street Blues was of the moment and, for me, wouldn't be the same today. I'm watching Ever Decreasing Circles at the moment and enjoying it. It's odd these things isn't it? I never tire of the 1995 BBC version of Pride and Prejudice though that's for sure!

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning all

It’s raining up here so we are going to clear out some paperwork and do some shredding.

Squiggle, I do know what you mean about some programmes being of their time.

Ever Decreasing Circles is a brilliant programme, I love it and have the complete series on DVD.

Thanks El, it really was the loveliest surprise.

Have a good day and stay safe, everyone.

Busy morning for me. M&S shopping took a long time as it took just over an hour in the queue outside. Got what I needed though, basic essentials.

A client had emailed me overnight re her tax return so I needed to email her back  before I did my shopping. She emailed back whilst I was out so I'm in the process of replying.

Formulating a plan to do the work but adhering to the social distancing rules so no face to face meeting.

Pleased you got all your shopping El

Thanks Moonie

Second email now sent to that client. Shes doesn't keep her accounting records on her computer and doesn't have a scanner so she can't get the information to me online via a secure cloud portal specifically created for accountants and their clients. So I've sent her a list of the documents and files I need for her to get together. Once she's done that, she'll contact me to arrange to drop them off with me but sticking to the social distancing rules, so like the way Amazon are delivering things at present.

The regulations on travel at this time include section 6(h) "to fulfill a legal obligation, including attending court or satisfying bail proceedings, or to participate in legal proceedings.

She has a legal obligation to file a tax return.
