Hi in here too Sweet
All okay here. I hope you and Miss Bramble are too
Enjoy the Captain
Summer, there are so many of those superhero films that I lose count of them - I assume that Captain Marvell is one of the Marvel Studios films
I hope you are enjoying it
I wonder if Bramble is telepathic - she could become Cosmo the Spacedog

thatβs a thought El
Haha well she's definitely empathic! Sheβs cuddly today too
El, Captain Marvel is a superhero movie yes. Sheβs very cool π
what are you all watching?
Summer, thanks for confirming what I thought Captain Marvel is.
I watched a repeat of a quiz programme (Hardball) on BBC 2 during my lunch. Hadn't seen it before. Last of that series.
Afternoon troops
Nice piece of piano in Doctors El even though I can't help either. Piano's my favourite instrument - covers everything and anything
Trust all are on top of this, between the ears as much as anything else, and that all are well. And stocked
Doesn't appear much on today Sweet - actually it's typically poor with a lot of repeats on terrestial and satellite. Highlight for me is the daily briefing and the awkward questions that follow. Followed by evasion and untruths. Newsnight and then the Beeb and Sky's paper reviews.
Hope are are well, safe and stay that that way
Evening all
Summer, spending some time having snuggles with Bramble sounds good to me
El, I passed that link on to my DiL so thank you for posting it.
Velvet, I hope you are managing to get groceries while you are isolating
Moonie, what are you watching on tv, with no football matches?
So far so good Yogi thanks
Hope it's likewise. Just can't really go out with asthma but I would if push came to shove. It better not. Trust you're still jigging. Get some Jimmy Shand on if you get stuck
Best wishes to all the clan. Just stay safe - although nobody's still cracked transmission. The Germans are carrying out a big study and guess what? They reckon it's airbourne as we said all along.
This song is apt for this thread..Take double care

Sorry Velvet, I missed this last night.
Seems WHO are urging caution on the βairborne transmissionβ theory.
Good morning everyone
Weather forecast is light cloud and breeze. With a bit of luck we might get some gardening done today.π€π»
Squiggle, I think βkeep calm and carry onβ is the best way. We can only do our best to minimise the risk and pray that the researchers find new meds and a vaccine ASAP.
Stay safe everyone.
Good morning everyone
Rather cloudy here.
I hope everyone has a good day

Its cool and overcast here but hopefully staying dry. Some washing on the line and some in the washer
All well with me. I hope it is with you all to too

Yogi I would be very very cautious about a vaccine, lots of research needed, a word to the wise. By the by has anyone else noticed many many people coming to faith in the Lord at this time of great upheaval? I have seen many on their knees and calling out to Him around the world.
Talking Pictures is showing this early evening a 1957 film called "The Rainmaker" A middle-aged woman who suffers from unrequited love for the sheriff falls for a con man.
What makes the film unique is the two leads - Katherine Hepburn and Burt Lancaster, the only such film with those two.

You are absolutely right, we need to make sure any vaccine is safe before we roll it out
I think a lot of people find solace and strength in faith, and particularly in times of adversity - even some who previously thought they didnβt have faith

May the Lord bless that doctor. And all doctors and all who are putting themselves out there to keep society going. From the ground up. They are all frontline with this.
Stay safe squiggs. I know you're clued up

Did you know that it was based on a play by Arnold Ridley which he wrote in 1927 , the same person who many years later was Prvate Godfrey in Dad's Army, and his great-niece is Daisy Ridley who is Rey in some of the more recent Star Wars films.

Very old record of Ethelbert Nevin's Narcissus:
One of those pieces which has been used in films and television programmes many times such as the musical "Meet Me in St Louis" (1944) to one of the Doctor Who episodes (a Sylvester McCoy one).
Also used by Norman Wisdom and Joyce Grenfell for their Laughing Record:
