Now pouring down with rain here, hopefully not long.
Good afternoon sunshine and showers today, itβs bright and sunny right now.
I hope youβre all having a good day, El I hope that rain shower doesnβt last long. It sounds like Dennis has been atrocious in places
I had a brilliant time last night with my friend staying, we made the most of the few hours we shared and now sheβs up in Scotland
Summer, thanks, the rain didn't last long The flood waters from the river are causing problems here but in areas which are officially on flood plains. More heavy rain is expected tomorrow and Thursday - there are concerns as to what effect that has on this part of the country, particularly at the weekend. Takes time for the flood water to get here from say Shropshire so the rain from Storm Dennis take 2-3 days for the full effect on the river.
I'm glad you had a brilliant time with your friend
night everybody
Good morning everyone it's good to be back online. Hope everyone is well and coping following Storm Dennis. I'm glad your date went well Summer.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Cloudy here, some rain forecast for later. Flooding is increasing in this part of the country because of the river overflowing but only on officially recognised flood plains.
Squiggle, I'm glad that you are back online
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone.
Heavy rain and fresh breeze are forecast.
Tiddlers were good yesterday - they were playing in their teepee.
El, I hope the flooding in your area subsides soon.
Squiggle, good to have you back with us
Summer, Iβm glad you had a good time with your friend
Sorry I wasnβt around last night, Ros. I had an unexpected visit from middle son.
Moonie, I hope you return to us soon, we miss you.
Velvet, hope you are doing okay
Thanks Yogi Unfortunately the flooding is getting worse and will be there for some days. A major road nearby is now closed for at least 2 days - the section of the road closed is on the flood plains so it's not surprising. Will mean that commuting traffic will take a lot longer for people.
I'm glad you had a nice time with the tiddlers yesterday and an unexpected visit

When did I ever do okay Yogi?
Yogi's one of the nicest people on this planet.
Pretty easy.
Got a scam email saying that my Airbnb account had been locked and that I needed to click on the button in the email. Similar to other scam emails but the first time I've had one relating to Airbnb. Don't have such an account anyway.
Derek Fowld's funeral was on Monday. Basil Brush was there and said this poem that he had written:
Local flood story of the day has to be the woman who rowed her husband in this morning in the floods part of the way so that he could attend his transfusion appointment at the hospital.
She's 80

Wow!!!! Thatβs incredible
Good evening I hope youβre all warm and cosy. Iβve been out walking with a friend today, it was freezing but dry. I think weβre all a bit fed up of February now and are hanging on in there fir spring to come

She sounds amazing, El - I love the grit and determination of that generation

yes same here yogi
night yogi and summer squiggle lovely to see you back
Good morning everyone it's very grey almost misty this morning. I don't know what it's like elsewhere but we're still getting strong winds and downpours most every day. What a wonderful story about that 80 year old lady EL.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Very overcast here and a wet morning is forecast. Squiggle, much the same here. October and November double the average rainfall, December 50% above average, January only 10% above average, February already 50% above average. That's for here rather than nationally.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
Still rainy here too, Squiggle. I feel sorry for my window cleaner who is now three weeks overdue because of the weather.
Heading off to Morrisons, then parent visiting this evening.
Have a good day, all.
Yogi, it's much the same for my window cleaner though he was able to do my windows earlier this month on one of the few dry days.
I hope all goes well with your shopping and your visit to your parents
The slimy purple, blue and yellow Β£20 notes are launched today. Old ones will remain legal tender for at least 6 months (Bank of England have yet to say when and they should give 6 months notice).

Good afternoon itβs grey and rainy here, after a bright start. I saw a rainbow this morning
I hope it dries up for you soon Squiggle & El
Thanks Summer
The main road near here remains closed due to flooding. The council says that that road and other roads in the county which are currently closed are expected to remain closed throughout the weekend and into the following week. Unknown at present what the effect will be of the rain falling today in the north of Wales on the river level here - takes 2 to 3 days for the flood water there to get here.
Worst flooding than February 2014 though not the July 2007 one ..... so far.....
El Loro posted 30/1/20:A first floor property in Wisbech is to be auctioned off for Β£100. Not only is it very small, it's inaccessible and has been unused for many years. The only inhabitants are likely to be spiders.

It's been sold for a colossal Β£1
night all
Good morning everyone it's a grey start to the day and still windy. Like everywhere else it seems we're in for more rain over the weekend. I'm glad you had a rainbow Summer it always cheers the day up.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Very grey overhead here but not raining. More rain and windy conditions forecast during the weekend and next week - no weather warnings here for that. The main road near here remains closed.
Bank of England will turn the old Β£20 notes into agricultural compost:

I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning all
Itβs very windy with heavy showers.
Looking at the forecast for the next week, there seems to be no let up in this awful weather.
lol El, Iβm not sure why anyone would buy that property - even for Β£1
Have a good day, everyone
Yogi, I think we are all fed up with this weather
It may be that the man bought the property just so that he could claim to have the cheapest property in the country
Can't say I've heard of Tewkesbury mustard or Tewkesbury mustard balls:

I wonder if the agricultural compost which results from the pulped up bank notes could be used to grow a money tree?

or mint plants
Good afternoon everyone
I am still not feeling all that good. I seem to be getting one thing after another at present
I hope you are all feeling good and not getting too battered by this diabolical weather. There seems to be no let up in sight
I will be back as and when, so you all take care and stay safe
