Gustav Mahler's 8th symphony (known as Symphony of a Thousand) is one of the greatest choral symphonies.

If it's too long to watch, watch it from 1 hour 17 minutes and 45 seconds for the final section. Starts quietly (the instrument with keyboard which sounds like little bells is called a celeste), and it builds up and up and up.

I’ll check it out later tonight

Yogi, yes I did- you are proxy stretched, de-stressed and feeling positively

I think making the effort on the yoga mat has hugely improved my post walk recovery. I’ve found a yoga session you tube that’s suitable for runners & walkers, so I’m definitely going to give that a try. You will enjoy proxy doing that session too

I’m loving my proxy exercises

I hope they are doing you good πŸ˜‰

Rocking Ros Rose

Good morning everyone

Same as Squiggle, the weather is calmer than the last couple of days. Although it was windier for longer yesterday there didn't seem to be a powerful a gust as on Monday.

Yogi, I'm glad your exrecises are working

Ros, I watched a clip of Haydn's Gloria and I can see why you like it

I hope everyone has a good day

Moonie, I'm glad that your swan and cygnet are looking lovely

I was talking with someone a few minutes ago about sports we watch. Amongst other ones he mentioned darts and snooker. He prefers darts, I prefer snooker. I said that there;s a lot of thinking about the next move(s) at the top level and that snooker is the sport equivalent of chess and darts of chequers

Β£80,00 donation received by Gloucester Cathedral for repair work to the part of the cathdral which includes the tomb of King Edward II.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-...cestershire-51103887

The donation was given by the Wolfson Foundation. In the past that has given money for the establishment of Wolfson College, Oxford and Wolfson College, Cambridge. Teams from those two have been in University Challenge over the years. Possibly the best known contestant in recent years is Eric Monkman who was captain of the Cambridge team who got to the final i 2017. Wolfson College, Oxford got through to the next round on Monday's programme.

Good morning everyone

Dry here at present, more rain forecast today and windy. No weather warnings from the Met Office for any area.

Google has changed their search results appearance overnight so if you think they look different you are right.

Yogi, I think that's sensible to stay with your physio exercises rather than try those in that clip

I hope everyone has a good day

Got a phone call a few minutes ago from M&S Money asking to speak to a named person (not me). I said there's no one of that name here and have never heard of her. Seems that someone had made an application to them for a loan or credit card and had put my business name down as their employer. They would have got that from something like Yell and been trying to defraud M&S. Just as well M&S don't take things for granted. Somehow I don't think they will be saying yes to the woman, more likely they'll report her for attempted fraud.

Good afternoon a grey day here but it’s warmed up after a cold start.
how are you all?

I can now tell you that I’ve been on jury service! I’ve completed my service now though and I can get back to normal life- hurrrrrahhhh!!!!! I was dreading it, but it’s actually been a brilliant experience because I’ve met some really lovely people.

El, I’m glad m&s have been vigilant and check these things thoroughly

~Sparkling Summer~

Good afternoon everyone

The weather started off okay here so I shopped

I decided to go up the park when I got back. I got slightly wet but it was worth it

It’s chucking it down now and the wind is getting up. Tomorrow is set to worse

El, good news about M&S

Sweet, I’m glad you’re jury service is over so you can get back to some normality

Have a great day everyone

I think HMRC must send them to any self-assessment person where HMRC has their email address but I've received another email from them saying they can give me advice and help if I've yet to send in my tax return

I did mine months ago and have got their tax statement and payslip to pay the tax by the end of the month and it wouldn't look good if I needed their help
