Yogi, the rain here hasn't caused me problems - it doesn't seem to have been as bad as originally forecast - my local news site had been describing it as biblical (presumably a reference to Noah and the flood).  Although there has been some flooding, that seems to have been only at places which are high risk areas. Still raining here though relatively light.

Moonie will be happy with your cake news

I’m glad it hasn’t caused you any problems

Yesterday morning when I got up, the usual traffic noise seemed quiter than normal. The A40 bypass isn't that far away. Turned out that it had been closed due to a serious accident involving one car. Bypass was closed for about 6 hours. There were no serious injuries.

As you can tell from the photos the two in the car were lucky to be alive. Driver is suspected of drink-driving. Accident happened at 4.40 in the morning. Although the car was found in a ditch by the bypass, the reason why the bypass was closed so long was because the police needed to see if anyone had been flung from the car.

Good morning everyone

Mainly cloud here, dry, may get some showers today. Forecasters are hoping for the weather to become dry - the Severn flood plains in Worcesteshire and Gloucestershire are full so any further rain will cause flooding on roads and in properties.

Ros, that's very disappointing for you, I hope your cough eases quickly
Of course, Silent Night is a German carol so I'm not surprised it sounds better in German than English

I hope everyone has a good day

Evening all

We had a lovely two days with the tiddlers. They made foam Christmas trees, polystyrene snowmen and nativity scenes, and they loved Frozen 2

Haven’t t had a chance to read back yet

Awww what a lovely way to spend two days 😁😁😁

It was, Moonie

I think they enjoyed themselves because, when I dropped them back home, BB asked, “Granny, when is our next sleepover?”

Good to see you back with us,

Rocking Ros Rose

Good morning everyone.

Heavy rain overnight and still pouring atm.

I remember singing Stille Nacht when I was doing German O Level - love it in English or German.

Lovely choral music video, El.

Aww Ros, what a shame that nasty bug has affected your singing in choir

I hope you and Moonie are soon fighting fit again

Good morning Velvet, hope all is well

Squiggle, are your little ones excited about Christmas?

PB was a narrator at her nativity this year and BB was the innkeeper at his - his one line was, “We only have a stable but help yourself to straw”. So sweet.

Visiting my parents this evening. Have a good day, all.
