A painting of The Last Supper which had been hanging in Nailsworth church found to have been shot at with an air rifle The vicar there was the curate at our church until she moved to Nailsworth.

Dry and cold here overnight and some frost around. Forecast to start raining in the next couple of hours and to continue for the rest of the day. No weather warnings for this part of the country - yet.

Whoever shot that painitng must have done in from within the church

El, I can’t get my head round someone taking a gun into a church and shooting at a painting of the Last Supper.

Yogi, I can't understand that either. It's not obvious from the pictures on the BBC article as where the bullet hole is. It's on Christ's right side (so on the left in the painting) and is where the Roman centurion would have pierced his side whilse on the cross. So it looks to be too precise for it to have been anything other than deliberate.

I hope it's just that Squiggle has been too busy or that her internet connection is playing up again

Part of the remnants of the Berlin Wall is at the Imjin Barracks which is a few miles away from me. I quite often drive past but vey unlikely to be able to see it from the road.
