Hope all are well. Pretty bright this morning. Light is always good - the cost benefit analysis of a frosty morning.

Dry, breezy, occasional glimpses of the sun. Second lot of washing on the line. Shopping done for the next few days 

Yogi, I understand what you say about Keira. Not quite the same I know but for me every time I go up the park, at least once a day, I can “see” our swan family in all the places I use to feed them

Although the creation of the internet took place over a period of time, today is the 50th anniversary of the first message to be sent between 2 computers over a distance, Not much of a message though as the network crashed after just 2 letters. So all that was sent was "Lo".

Scammers make me , El. At least it looks like the victims of the scam are being refunded.

Yogi, scammers make me as well. The dubious "British Gas" phone calls are still going on. I know it's fake as they always want to speak to the manager or use the name of my accountancy practice - that tells me they are talking about my non-existent business tariff.

Besides those I sometimes get a phone call about my meters having a technical problem which needs to be sorted out. Those are almost certainly criminals rather than unethical energy consultants. Got a call on Monday claiming to be Western Power Distribution. Clearly fake as my meters are from British Gas, WPD would only be involved if my electricity meter needed to be moved.

Cold, windy but the occasional bursts of sunshine 

No shopping to do today so I have been up the park to blow the cobwebs away 

Washing just about to go on the line. No much today for a change

Confession time. Earlier this week I accidentally trod on a plastic clothes peg which was on the shared drive. The peg broke and I just collected the bits and threw them away.

The music of György Ligeti is best known from the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. Although suitable for that film, too strange to listen to by itself.

He could write more orthodox music. Here's his Sonatina wtitten as a duet for piano - 3 very short pieces.

Quite pleasant and tuneful

the incoming mercury retrograde has been wreaking havoc on me already, so I decided to have a gentle day today. I snoozed until lunch time and spent ages in the bath this afternoon. I walked bramble and had a homemade curry- just the tonic! 

Summer, at least you had a relatively relaxing day

As far as a date when the World Wide Web was launched, Tim Berners-Lee worked on that for a period of time at CERN. The first time webservers outside CERN itself was in January 1991 so that would be effectively the launch.

Mr Y has had two scam emails recently. One pretending to be from TV Licensing, saying there was a problem with our DD payment (we don’t pay it by DD) and another saying his PayPal account had been blocked - it hadn’t.

Needless to say, he didn’t fall for either of them.
