Glad you feel able to get out and about a bit more, it's great that you now don't have to rely on others to take you out.

Some antibiotics should clear up the infection quickly - just as well you decided to mention it to the doctor.

Take care, and come back very soon.

Thank you for that Yogi.  I don't feel quite so bad about my post now.  Yes it was lovely to be able to say to the doctors' receptionist that I could make an appointment at 4.00 pm without having to worry about who was going to get me there!!!

Hopefully the antibiotics will work.  There is a great deal in the literature I bought home about not letting infections take hold as they can pass through the blood stream and attack my new knee (or so they say).  Certainly don't want that to happen.

You certainly don't want that to happen. Thank goodness you acted quickly.

El Loro

Good morning everyone. Weatherwise, it's overcast but dry atm.

My new kitchen is being installed nest week. I emptied half the cupboards yesterday, so I have the rest to finish off today.

I am really looking forward to having a new kitchen (especially a dishwasher), but as you know, I don't cope well with chaos and mess. I will repeat a little mantra, "It will all be worth it in the end" to keep me sane(ish).

Fun shopping or boring shopping Skylark?

I have that ^^^^^ on one of those trolley tokens.

I have an interest in The Homefront 1939-45.

Evening all.  I had a really bad reaction to the antibiotics last night but I've sorted it with the doctor this morning and got some antibiotic cream instead.  Our lovely Skylark has been giving me lots of advice.

I'm off to bed now to try and catch up on the sleep I lost last night.  Hope to catch up with you all tomorrow.  Love you all.

I am, Squiggle. Good morning to you and Skylark.

Good afternoon everyone.    It's another hot, sunny day here.  I'm pleased to say I slept much better last night and the antibiotic cream does seem to be helping, although it's early days yet.

Drove myself to the shops this morning to do the weekend shopping so I'm really back to normal now.  I've got No.1 son and the grandchildren coming for the weekend so it should be a busy one.  Hope you all have a good weekend, whatever you are doing.

Joyron
Afternoon all hot & sunny here too, I'm watching some jackdaw fledglings great lunch break good stuff joyron I'm pleased to hear you're getting out & about again Yogi I did have to sort out a rotten child this morning, he spoke to his mum like absolute cr*p and behaved like a brat! Needless to say he didn't get a lolly, I did give one to his well behaved brother tho
~Sparkling Summer~

Afternoon all. My grocery shopping is done.

Summer, I'm glad to hear you are keeping those kids in line. Good behaviour deserves a lollipop - bad behaviour does not.

Joyron, you are doing really well now - onwards and upwards! Enjoy your wqeekend with the family, but don't overdo things.

I'm off to the Casey Anthony thread. This trial really has reeled me in. I shall be watching, as I finish off my work in the kitchen.

Glad to hear your good news Joyron.  Summer we were just discussing this problem of badly behaved children yesterday in my group.  So many children nowadays seem to think they are the centre of the universe.  How odd though one well behaved child and one horror.  I wonder how the parents behaved towards the bad behaviour?  Yogi you do sounds like you are keeping calm and carrying on, well done
