I was sick last night - I think a cheese sandwich set me off.  I’m still feeling a bit ropey but the sickness has stopped.

Cheese can be a trigger for my Crohns, El so, I think it was self inflicted.

As today is the church feast day of Michael and All Angels, the hymns at church referred to angels. The final hymn was "While Shepherds watched their flocks by night". The music though was not the best known version (which is called "Old Winchester") It was sung to "Cranbrook" which was written by Thomas Clark of Canterbury in 1805.

Here it is:

Yorkshire people will be familiar with the music as for the unofficial anthem of Yorkshire "On Ilkla Moor Baht 'at" ("On Ilkley Moor without a hat").  The Wiki article on that says that the first published version of the words appeared in 1916, when it was described as "a dialect song which, for at least two generations past, has been sung in all parts of the West Riding of Yorkshire". Arnold Kellett calculates that the song "could well have originated in the early years of the second half of the [19th] century, and not as late as 1877 ..."

I mentioned some time ago about the ITB series from the 1960s called "Do Not Adjust Your Set".  The BFI have recently released a collector's edition of the episodes which are available and lots of extras. One can get it from Amazon:

It's the version shown as released on Sep 16, 2019. Although the link shows other cheaper versions those are not as complete as the recent one.

It's only of interest to those who liked the series back in the 1960s or fans of Monty Python's Flying Circus which was made later. It's unlikely to be of interest otherwise.
