Good morning everyone

Cloudy here, may brighten up late afternoon, could get some rain for a time.

Ros, I remember you mentioned that you had sung the Ave Maria at your last concert I posted the clip as a piano solo for a direct comparison with Bach's prelude.

Although Ros would know this, for the benefit of those who don't Bach's Well-tempered Clavier is a set of preludes and fugues for each key in the chromatic scale. That's the number of keys in an octave on a piano - 7 white keys and 5 black keys. Each of those can be played with a major scale and a minor scale. So there are 24 difference scales.

I hope everyone has a good day

Summer, I'm glad your accountants have your tax return done in plenty of time

I submitted mine some weeks ago

I'll need to check for my clients that the returns for 2018/19 I've submitted are actually showing the correct amount of tax due in January. Last year I found out that quite a few of them were incorrect (HMRC fault, not mine) and that one of the returns had been rejected not that I or the client were ever informed. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't checked and alerted HMRC to this.

Evening yogi and fellow non and full accountants I hope you each had a good day.

I was complimented on my organised bookkeeping and had it confirmed that I have indeed saved too much tax money over several years, so I’m allowed to have some and go treat myself  the hard part will be lifting my heavy folders up into the attic, I’ve no space left in my spare room/mini office

i’m Turning in for an early night, sweet dreams gorgeous friends

Well done Sweet

Excellent bookkeeping

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here, may brighten up later.

Yogi, neither I or my brother showed any flair for playing the piano or any other musical instrument.

Summer, well done on your organised bookkeeping I know you keep on top of it which is sensible rather than let it build up. It makes the accountant's work easier. Also better for you should HMRC ever decide to look at your records.

I hope everyone has a good day

A shocker of a news story about someone who had been using Extra Energy and had been paying ÂĢ35 a month, that company went bust and the administrators have sent her the final bill for ÂĢ4,431

I was just listening to that story on Money Box on Radio 4 El

Although ÂĢ35 a month does seem low for a 2 bedroom terraced house, if they were with Extra Energy for 2 and a half years (I'm basing this on what's mentioned in the article) the total cost works out at ÂĢ2,192 a year which is absurdly high (more than 5 times what she was paying a month).

One of those matches at Cheltenham Town this afternoon with quite a number of goals. They were at home against Stevenage which is currently near the bottom of the table.

At 22 minutes C score so 1-0
At 48 minutes S score so 1-1
At 57 minutes C score so 2-1
At 72 minutes S score so 2-2
At 80 minutes C score so 3-2

One further goal was scored in injury time. It was Cheltenham so they win 4-2

Cheltenham is currently 6th in the table, a good position, but very early in the season. They are playing well at home but need to improve their away form.

Evening all

It has been a bright sunny day.

I have emptied my hanging baskets as they are passed their best.

Our eldest son visited yesterday and today our middle and youngest sons visited so, we’ve seen all three this week.

El, I also have no aptitude for playing musical instruments.

How were the swans today, Moonie

I hope you’ve all had a good day.

Hi Yogi

You’ve had a houseful over the last couple of days then

The swans are fine fankoo. Back from the park a while ago. All fed and watered

Its cold out there now

My day has been a good one

Good morning everyone

Sunny start to the day but cold enough for my central heating to come on for the first time this season. Forecast to warm up and for clouds to roll in - tomorrow is forecast to be wet.

Yogi, I know that my father was disappointed that neither I or my brother showed musical ability in terms of playing instruments. But he was a bit of a perfectionist.

I hope everyone has a good day
