wow gorgeous photos especially the king fisher and owl - awesome
night yogi summer moons if you pop in
Good morning everyone it's a rainy morning here! Just what's needed. Lovely photos EL. I saw a photo yesterday to gladden Moonie' s heart, a whole lake full of swans, they were swan-upping.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Was sunny here first thing, now cloudy. Hasn't started raining yet but expected soon and lots of it including thunderstorms (Met Office shows thunderstorms for a short period, BBC shows them most of the day).
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning wow itâs been busy around here! How are you all?
My mumâs service was beautiful, we had a brilliant weekend together. Well, apart from my neighbours having a domestic

Good morning everyone
It was foggy earlier and is sunny atm. Thundery showers are forecast for later.
Summer, Iâm glad your mum enjoyed the service - shame about the neighbours!
Have a good day, all.
This week, the Met Office are asking people to submit their suggestions for next season's storm names:
https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/a...call-for-storm-names
Yogi, it's getting more oppressive now and, although little rain so far, it feels as if it will start very soon and thunderstorms are expected.
It's raining steadily here now, no thunder so far - Met Office no longer showing thunder here, BBC showing thunder for hours to come. So not exactly consistent
Moonie, great photos
Did you spot the infiltrator in the last photo of your second batch on the extreme left towards the bottom on land

Good morning everyone it's a sunny morning and I think a dry day. We had a good amount of rain yesterday though and maybe some more later on in the week.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Virtually all clouds here thought bits of brightness. Probably remaining dry. Parts of the northern Yorkshire dales inundated yesterday with a month of rain falling within 4 hours.
I hope everyone has a good day
Gloucester City football club must get confused sometimes as to which league they are in. For 8 seasons they were in National League North then for the last two seasons they were in National League South. For the next season starting this weekend they are back in National League North. The two leagues are at the same level, it's just split into teams in the northern part of England and those in the southern part. Not many people would regard Gloucester as being in the north
Hi everyone
Weather is dry and bright, with showers forecast for later.
I fell asleep quite early last night....and woke at 5am
Great pics, Moonie. Your babies are growing up fast
lol El, I never considered Gloucester to be in the north
Have a good day all
Yogi, I'm glad you had a good night's sleep
I would have been amazed if you had ever thought Gloucester was in the north
I've now received this reply from the BBC Complaints Team regarding that Bruderhof documentary.
"Dear (my name)
Thank you for contacting us about the change to last Thursday nightâs schedule on BBC One.
We realise that late schedule changes can be frustrating particularly when a programme has already been advertised, or singled out by the viewer as of particular interest. We can assure you we do try to keep any such changes to a minimum, but unfortunately there are occasions when they will be necessary.
We make comments like yours available to the relevant teams and senior executives on our daily report. This helps to ensure weâre aware of how our programmes and schedules come across at home.
Kind Regards"
The BBC has amended their FAQS page on the documentary. It now reads:
Page updated: 31st July 2019
Our broadcast of Inside the Bruderhof scheduled for Thursday 25 July had to be dropped from the BBC One schedule and has not been aired yet .
We will update this page with more information when a new air date has been decided, and you can stay up to date with the latest news on the programme on the Inside the Bruderhof programme page.
We realise that late schedule changes can be frustrating particularly when a programme has already been advertised, and we try to keep these to a minimum.
So no information given as to why the cancellation. The reference to the News at Ten overrunning is no longer there. The programme page doesn't give a date for the documentary to be shown.
Little point in going further by reporting this to the BBC Executive Complaints Unit as I think I would almost certainly get the same response.
Although complaints to the BBC, after going through their complaints procedure, can be made to Ofcom, that is pointless as it is outside their remit which covers effectively breaches of their Programme code or unfair treatment of an individual (and it has to be that individual making the complaint).

El, I noticed others on DS were also complaining about the Bruderhof documentary being pulled. Hopefully, it will be shown at some point

I hope you've all had a lovely day xx

Good morning everyone it's a sunny morning and feels nice and fresh.
I've heard of the Amish and the Mennonites but not the Bruderhof EL. What especially are you interested in in seeing that programme?
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Cloudy here, low possibility of a shower.
Summer, I thought you would be rather interested in Frozen 2
Squiggle, the documentary is about one of the Bruderhof communities in England. So closer than the Amish communities in the States. It was something I was mildly interested in. The reason for my complant was more to do with why the documentary had been removed from the schedule.
I hope eevryone has a good day
BBC given the green light from Ofcom to be able to keep shows on iPlayer for a year rather than 30 days, There's various conditions Ofcom have laid down for BBC to comply with.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/ent...inment-arts-49191885
Although that article has a link to Ofcom's ruling, that document doesn't have the annexes. This link does go to the more complete document - annexes 2 and 3 go into detai of the conditions.

Good afternoon yay Iâm here! itâs cooler and still showery here. Perfect for dog walking later
how are you all?
Great news from the iPlayer!
Hi Summer I'm fine but busy
Once you've got the ticket for Frozen 2, make sure you keep it in a safe place and remember where that safe place is I had a client put important documents to pass to me in a safe place - when I went to see him he had forgotten where that swafe place was and he had to get replacement documents.
Congratulations to Fort William football team on winning a match.
It's their first win in 840 days
If you ever get an automated phone about ÂĢ600 about to be taken out of your credit card for Western Union and to press 1, don't fall for it - it's a scam.
I got such a call a few minutes ago and didn't fall for it. Different phone number to this one but the same scam:
