Summer, no thunderstorms here either so far. It looks as if it's going to be wet tomorrow though some sites have early morning for the heaviest and others later in the morning, BBC latest forecast looks as if the Cotwolds will be getting thunderstorms tonight, less likely here.
I love thunderstorms!

I know you do I can't say I do though I don't hide under the bed or anything like that
and the idea that lighning never strikes twice isn't correct.
My computer shop has rung to say that the drive has arrived so I intend on taking my computer to them tomorrow.
Hopefully I'll be back soon
Evening all
Summer, we had a thunderstorm today
I saw the male pheasant again, enroute to my parents.
El, fingers crossed the computer shop can do the work quickly
I hope you have all had a good good day.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, everyone

Good morning everyone it's a cloudy and muggy morning. I'm not looking forward to the higher temperatures expected by the end of the week. I hope you get your computer back quickly EL.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Heavy rain here at present but forecast to move away in the next couple of hours.
Thanks Yogi re my computer work Hopefully the rain eases off so that I can transport my computer to the shop. Although the ssd will be replaced I'll ask the shop about Windows 10 as to whether to do that now or wait until nearer January. I remember when Windows XP was nearing the end of its support life that the Microsoft messages on my extinct computer had upgrade links to Windows 8 for that to be done automatically. It's possible that Microsoft may do the same for 7 to 10. I have had a couple of warning notices from Microsoft over the last couple of months but those will probably change over the next 6 months.
I hope everyone had a good day and hope to be back with you soon
Good afternoon Buddies
Itâs still raining here but should ease off later. *crosses fingers*
Not much to do because of the weather but I did stock up with food yesterday incase we had the promised storms. So plenty to eat and drink
Have a great day whatever the weather
I've had the drive replaced but am waiting for the time being before switching to windows 10. I can get that done when I'm less busy and at lease the new drive is more that large enough to have that installed without space issues.
Miserable weather here though I'm not aware of any thunderstorms. 19 mm of rain this morning shown by my very local weather site. Flash flooding around though not affecting me. Not expecting to need to go out again today so the water on the roads will have gone.
Good evening ð cold and rainy here, weâve had the heating on today. My friends in the south east are complaining itâs ridiculously hot down there!
El, iâm Pleased your drive is up & running i hope the flooding doesnât cause any problems
Evening all
Dry and sunny so the children were able to play in the garden after school
El, thatâs good news about your computer
Hope everyone has had a good day
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Ros

Good morning everyone
Low cloud here but may be sunny later in the day (by 9.31 pm )
Thanks Summer and Yogi re my computer.
Summer, I would need to turn the thermostat up a few places for my central heating to come on - it's quite warm here and getting warmer daya by day with Saturday being hot (27 C in this part of the country).
Yogi, I'm glad you had a nice time with the children
I hope everyone has a good day
Summer, I'm not aware of any major flooding issues in my region caused by the rain yesterday. There was some flash flooding on some roads but I think it didn't affect properties. There was a yellow flooding alert from the Environment Agency for a small river affecting an area a few miles away but that alert has been lifted. There are a couple of yellow alerts for minor rivers in the Cotswolds but those are miles away.
My very local weather site shows a total of 112.6 mm rain for June so nearly double the average for June here but slightly above average for say November.
I doubt if they'll issue a hosepipe ban in my area as a result of the hotter weather in the next few days

An old Buster Keaton film, One Week (1920):

Very early film of his and I didn't like the way it ends though. No special effects used at the end - that's how it was filmed. No such thing as health and safety laws in those days.
One of the more unusual bird news stories:

The staff at the bird sanctuary or the writer of the news story seem to be confused as well
Good evening I hope youâve all had a good day. Iâve been supporting a friend who was having a tough day, and we ended up starting a furniture painting project! You know those moments where you intend to paint one small area just to test it, and before you know it youâve painted 3 coats of the entire dressing table... the sun came out though so it had to be done!
Sweet dreams to you all, I hope you have a fabulous sleep tonight

Good morning everyone it's very breezy this morning which is very pleasant. I'm glad your computer is up and running EL. I've had no experience of Windows 10 but I wonder how the touchscreen aspect works and whether you can still use a mouse. I can't believe you had to have the heating on Summer, and what colour did you paint the dressing table?
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Sunny here and getting warmer.
Summer, good for you in supporting your friend
Squiggle, I'm waiting before moving over to Windows 10. I think it recognises what type of device you are using so diffferentiates between devices such as tablets and phones with built in touchscreen facility and devices such as desktops. A desktop user would continue to be using keyboard and mouse but would have the ability to use the touchscreen facility if they wanted to and their setup had that option. My computer doesn't have touchstone facility as such so I would continue to use keyboard and mouse.
I hope everyone had a good day
Good morning everyone
I meant to sign in last night but....a quick catch up phone call with my RL best friend, ended up a two hour conversation
Which colour did you paint the dressing table, Summer?
I know your friend will have appreciated your company.
Another busy day as parents are having white goods delivered to the new house, and I need to go grocery shopping afterwards.
Moving day tomorrow!
Have a good day, all.
Yogi, I hope your busy day goes well and that there are no problems tomorrow with moving day
Yogi, a long phone call for me would be more like 30 minutes with my brother, generally at weekends when it's free for me. I try to avoid long calls during Mondays to Fridays when I'm working in case someone else is trying to ring me though there are a couple of clients where phone calls tend to go on a bit Made a call to a client yesterday and afterwards realised it had gone on for 20 minutes.
Good afternoon not a cloud in the sky here! Iâm having my lunch break outside what a change from earlier in the week!
Yogi, I hope all goes smoothly
iâm Painting my furniture âantique whiteâ in chalk paint and leaving the tops wooden
Off to see a client up a hill - straightforward meeting to go through her tax return. (her house is at the bottom of a local hill).
Afternoon all
What a change from yesterday - now too warm.
As said Yogi, I too hope the move goes well and that you have plenty happy years in your new home
Hope all are well.
Back from my client, rather warm in the car.
Twickers, it's Yogi's parents who are moving, her last post above could have inferred it was her
Thanks El. Yogi, I hope all goes well and you know the rest. Many happy years for them all in their new home

Thanks Twickers and, apologies for the confusion
El, I hope the client meeting went well
Summer, I like the sound of antique white
