Evening all

Minding went well. The tiddlers made homemade pizzas with MrY.

El, you and your neighbours must feel like putting the flags out when the pavement guys go

Summer, I’m glad your friend is recovering from his accident.

Thanks everyone. I’m going to chase up my specialist nurses to see when someone is coming out to show me how to inject the new meds. TBH, it doesn’t  seem very different from injecting the current meds so I’m sure I could do it without a demo.

Hope you’ve all had a good day

Good morning everyone it's a little cloudy again  this morning. Yogi I hope you slept better last night and are feeling more like yourself. I hope the new medication helps.

What a cute clip EL such a sweet boy I hope the treatment works. Oh your poor friend Summer these things shake you up. I hope all goes well on the 23rd Ros, however do you remember all these different pieces?

Enjoy your day everyone

TBH squiggle - Mozart  vesperae is the  most difficult piece we have ever done but hopefully will go ok

Good morning everyone

Forecast to be a rain-free day here.

Yogi, I'm glad tiddler minding went well I hope your specilaist nurse comes soon to show you how to do the new medication injections

It looks as if your posting problems were for some people rather than everyone so it could be one of the servers misfiring. Lori had advised previously to try coming out of the forum and browser then going back in to see if you get on to a different server.

I hope everyone has a good day

El, I’m struggling to quote your reply due to problems with posting again. I tried your suggestion to no avail. This is the third night in a row with posting problems and pages taking ages to load.

Hi Yogi

I have been suffer for several days too

I think it may be Virgin Media in my case though as the upload and download speeds are dire

There is no reported problems as far as I can ascertain. So tomorrow I will be onto them ðŸ˜ĄðŸĪĢ

Moonie

Good morning everyone it's a bright and sunny morning. We're forecast to get rain over the next few days so I'll make the most of it. I wonder why the posting problems are only in the evenings. Is the Virgin Media fibre Moonie? I thought fibre was virtually trouble-free.  We've had issues with intermittent slowness recently but I thought that was our ISP, our old ISP got taken over.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone

Sunny here at present, showers likely later today, Tomorrow's forecast is bad with rain much of the day.

Yogi, you may want to have a word with Lori to see if she can help.

Moonie, sometimes I find that disconnecting the power cable to my Virgin Super Hub, waiting 10 seconds, reconnecting, then waiting for the 5 minutes or so for the internet connections to get into place can sort out slow speeds. Rarely I find that a reset to factory settings is needed but the passwords then revert to the factory ones so need to be changed.

Squiggle, Virgin Media cable is generally reliable for me but I only use it on a wired basis rather than wireless and wireless is less reliable.

Client to go to later thia morning - routine if she's there. The meeting was arranged a few weeks ago, I've rung her a couple of times in the last week and she didn't answer.

I hope everyone has a good day

Good  morning Buddies

Its cloudy with occasional sunshine. Very cool breeze blowing

Rain promised today

El, I usually just turn my Virgin broadband box off, leave it for 5 seconds then reboot. That usually works for me

I think Virgin had trouble with their broadband service as it seems mildly better this morning. Have a great day everyone

Moonie

Back from that client meeting which was straightforward. A couple of missing bits of information for her to get for me to do her tax return.

Weather warning for my area tomorrow for the rain - not a day to go out  - there's a client meeting in the afternoon but he's coming here.

Moonie, I hope your Virgin Media connection is still better

Interesting article on weather recording at Radcliffe Observatory in Green Templeton College in Oxford:
Radcliffe Observatory in Green Templeton College
Monthly rainfall totals go back to 1767.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/sci...environment-48517085

The article mentions various weather records at that observatory. The wettest day recorded was on 10 July 1968 with 87.9 mm of rain. That was an exceptionally wet day and there's an article about that on the Met Office site

Although the 2007 floods were worse in my area, I do remember the 10 July 1968 rain. It wasn't that long before I left school. On the day after the rain, lessons were cancelled for our year and we spent the day trying to help residents in a road near the school which had been hot by flood water from a nearby brook. The road where I lived wasn't flooded but the gardens were and it took many days for the gardens to dry out.

@Lori

For the fourth night in a row, I’m having posting problems.

Pages take ages to load and ages to post. Sometimes I can’t quote a reply, nor “Like” a post.

I’ve tried clearing the cache; signed out and in again; turned the WiFi off then on again on my iPad; did a reboot on the router and a reboot on the iPad - nothing has helped. I’m not having problems on any other site.

Hi, @Yogi19

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble!

Anyone else having issues?

I’m posting this from my iPad, and things are loading quickly for me. I assume you are using Safari? Can you tell me what version of the OS you are using, and what version of Safari?

I’m on Software Version 12.3

Not sure where to find out which version of Safari

Ros is having trouble too but I don’t think she’s on an iPad

If you’re on 12.3, you are running Safari 12 (I just found out). I’ve just updated, so I’m now on the same version you are, with the same experience.

Do you have another device you could try on, like a phone, laptop or desktop?

It's slow now? Or was that earlier, around 9pm your time?

Hi much better now  thank you   and it improved as the evening went on on . When I logged on at about 8pm  my time  the forum was very slow and  sluggish and felt I couldn't move easily between threads- have also been thrown out of threads occasionally but Kaytee has the most trouble with that
