i just got home though to discover it online ÂĢ30 cheaper! i rang house of fraser and they said the sale started at 5pm- i bought the dress at 4.37pm

they said to go back with it, get a refund and buy the exact same dress back at sale price!

i hope they let me do it, the dress was ÂĢ150, so ÂĢ120 would be nicer

funny thing too- i asked the sales girls if nude shoes would go with the dress lol

Ooh that's lovely, nice shoes too, you are gonna look so good

Good morning everyone, it was raining quite hard but its brightened now thank goodness.  I'm off out to Ladies on Thursdays this afternoon bearing a victoria sponge cake (we are having a Coffe and Cake day to raise funds for the Leprosy Mission).

My grandsons stayed over and I came down to a living room smelling of cheesy feet this morning   Air freshener quick (and fling open the windows )

You are probably right about the rain, El. I don't watch cricket but I have noticed it's always being rained off.

Squiggle, are you grandsons staying over for a while? Just in case, <- large bottle of Febreze.

Skylark, I hope you manage to dodge the showers while you are out.

They just pop in now and then (I never know when) thank you for the Febreze I could have done with it this morning

Do they eat you out of house and home as well?

It's like a plague of locusts then they go home and I try to re-stock ready for the next raid, they are growing lads and I can't begrudge them.  Angels they're not - sweethearts they definitely are

Good luck with raising funds for the Leprosy Mission this afternoon. That's one of the missions out church also supports. Did you know that after India, the country with the most leprosy cases is Brazil?

Summer it was like a plague of locusts round there too, my friend had loads and loads of different cakes and said it was because its horrible if people bring cakes and nobody eats 'em   She might be a pensioner but she's a little rascal I tell ya!

EL the lady who is walking the South West Coast Path with her dalmation that I mentioned before gave us the most heart-rending facts about leprosy when she came to our meeting.  It can be easily cured nowadays with a few pills BUT people who have it (even if they have been cured) have no right to a job, a place to live or even a place in society.  People affected by this ancient disease tend to have very sore feet and sandals which cushion their feet (made from re-cycled car tyres) cost a few pounds so people buying cards from them or donating a small amount can make an enormous difference.  It is such a worthy cause and you know that money donated is going directly to helping those in need.

I can't remember if I mentioned that at a church coffee morning some weeks ago, someone had baked a rather unusual cake for the cake stall. It was made using Weetabix. It was rather on the large size, and I'm not surprised that nobody bought it. I think people might have been prepared to try it out if it had been a small cake, but not a large one. I can't help thinking as others must that it would be too dry. I think one of the women on the stall took it home with them. She was going to freeze some of it and try out the rest. I'm half expecting to see it reappear at the next coffee morning.

I don't think I'd fancy trying a Weetabix cake. Reminds me too much of the shredded wheat nests my children used to make with chocolate, before adding Cadbury's Mini Eggs to complete the bird's nest look. They tasted awful.

I'm not surprised They probably thought that as ones made with rice crispies or cornflakes are nice, so would ones made from shredded wheat.

You are very generous with your time, Squiggle, I'm sure your efforts are much appreciated.

How wrong could they be? They did look a bit more nest-like though.
