Good evening 👋 I’m just climbing in to bed, but I’m here for a little bit I’ve got a long walk tomorrow, which means getting up at the crack of dawn. 

Today has been restful, and I had my mum call in for a bit, then I taxi’d for some friends who went out for a few drinks. They were funny.

Lol that’s a good name I’d love a flying carpet, that would be amazing! 

I was contemplating it moonie, but it’s easier for us to crack on if we don’t have to worry about Bramble. I’d have to keep her on the lead, and basically march her for 26 miles.. so it wouldn’t be adventurous for her. She’s fit and capable, but I don’t like to take her any further than 20 miles, I don’t think it’s necessary. She’ll stay with my friends and throughly enjoy herself

Awww, that is a good idea for her to stay with your friends. She wouldn’t like being on a lead for all that way, anyway 🙂

Some sunshine here, not a warm start outside but getting warmer, may get showers this afternoon. Wednesday's forecast is thoroughly wet for the southern half of the country almost all day.

 

Ros, one of my brother's friends is a Wrexham supporter. My brother has told me from time to time of their history of playoffs - must hold the record for the club with the highest number of play off failures which must be demoralising for them - it's almost as if they expect to lose so do.

yes its so sad EL as their fan base is so supportive and they have a fantastic ground but they are a Trust and can't get into debt - so affects players as they tend to loan  a lot rather than buy-

It says that it's a traditional Irish melody which is rather questionable unless Scarborough has changed countries

 

Apparently the Scarborough Fair melody may have come from an old Scottish ballad called The Elfin Knight. This is one version of that and one can see how that could be the case.

HMRC got into trouble with the ICO about their voice ID system for people ringing them and had to delete some 5 million voice files:

That system is not used for agents such as myself ringing the HMRC. That's a different phone number. Such a system would not be of much use as a an agent can have lots of different employees ringing HMRC.

HMRC asks agent for client's name and address
Then they ask for agent's name and address.

Earlier this year I had to ring HMRC regarding a couple of clients and had both their files in front of me for me to read out their addresses.

When dealing with the first client I said their name but then said the address for the second client. HMRC didn't challenge me at that point and asked me for my agent's name and address which I did. I then realised I'd given the address for the other client so immediately told them the correct address. I don't know if they would have halted the conversation if I hadn't.

Evening all 

We had a good day with the tiddlers. It was an in service day so we had both children for the full day. We made chocolate nests, complete with chocolate eggs and yellow chicks; planted cress in eggshells and in a plastic/cardboard garden (purchased kit); made kites and PB made a book, then wrote the story and drew accompanying pictures. 

Squiggle, I love phlox, I used to have some in my garden 

El, I’m glad English bluebells have the edge over the Spanish ones.

Good evening the weary walker returns 28 miles yesterday! I’m tired and hungry but in no pain, which is amazing I didn’t take Bramble, btw. I hope you each had a great bank holiday
