what are they gathering ? moss? wits ?

Well, they seemed to be gathering rain but not much of it fell fortunately

Hi Sweet

We had 14 ducklings three weeks or so ago. Next day there was only 4

I don’t know where the others went

Just recently we had we had 10 now there are only 4

Sad really

We have at least 2 Coot chicks. They are gorgeous

Our mamma swan is still sitting in her nest day and night from what I can see

Our dad is here, there and everywhere

Oh and we have a lovely heron too

Good morning everyone

Sunny here though not warm outside, may get some showers but less likely than the last couple of days. Forecast to be relatively settled until Wednesday when it could be raining most of the time.

Summer, I'm glad your friend has beaten her cancer

I hope everyone has a good day

Good afternoon Buddies

We have sunshine, a hefty breeze and it’s cold

Not much to do today but I will be up the park several times

Then there’s sport on the telly

Have a great whatever you are going to do

I don’t know why literally 10 disappeared overnight unless someone is “harvesting” them for some reason

Its lovely to see all the varieties of wildlife in and around our park

yes will play in Wrexham's league next season  and Wrexham have been unlucky in the play offs

Rocking Ros Rose

Good morning everyone

Some sunshine here, not a warm start outside but getting warmer, may get showers this afternoon. Wednesday's forecast is thoroughly wet for the southern half of the country almost all day.

Ros, one of my brother's friends is a Wrexham supporter. My brother has told me from time to time of their history of playoffs - must hold the record for the club with the highest number of play off failures which must be demoralising for them - it's almost as if they expect to lose so do.

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning pleasant here, but chilly. I’ve had a hectic week but can relax today

moonie, I’ve seen swans attacking goslings and ducklings, it’s awful to see and frustrating knowing you can not intervene our area has herons too, so it’s no wonder the bird families hide in the bushy sides of the water

We have to put it down to Nature and the survival of the fittest. At least animals mostly only kill to eat and survive, unlike Man

Good afternoon Buddies

It started off nice here. Not as cold or breezy as yesterday but looking more like rain now

Sweet, I hope you do have a quiet day

Have a fabby day everyone

Moonie

At church this morning we had a hymn which we'd never had before. The first line is "James and Andrew, Peter and John".  The music though was very well known - Scarborough Fair. I can't post a clip of this hymm as there aren't any on the internet.

El Loro

The verses with the sheet music of the above hymn can be seen on this site:
https://hymnary.org/hymn/CAH2000/338

It says that it's a traditional Irish melody which is rather questionable unless Scarborough has changed countries

Apparently the Scarborough Fair melody may have come from an old Scottish ballad called The Elfin Knight. This is one version of that and one can see how that could be the case.

Extrait de l'Album "Old Celtic & Nordic Ballads" (Prikosnovenie - Nov. 2012). J.L.Lenoir :Guitare, Basse, Lyre, Arrangement - Joanne McIver : Chant -Eléonore Billy : Nyckelharpa - J.B. Mondoloni : Bodhran

Good evening 👋 I’m just climbing in to bed, but I’m here for a little bit I’ve got a long walk tomorrow, which means getting up at the crack of dawn.

Today has been restful, and I had my mum call in for a bit, then I taxi’d for some friends who went out for a few drinks. They were funny.

I hope you all had a good day Moonie I like how you understand the birds
