They need to put a culvert under the road El

I think there's a real possibility that Defra could step in with a cull order.

That would be an utter disgrace El

Anyway, I thought they was a protected species...

They are a protected species but culling is permitted where there's any bovine TB in an area. I think that culling is restricted to badgers seen above ground. It's an extremely contentious issue.

I don’t think that Bovine TB has been proven beyond doubt to my mind El

But yes you are right

Good morning everyone

Fairly sunny and warm here.

Summer, little suprise that the Avengers film you saw last week is now officially the highest grossing film for the opening weekend:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...g_openings_for_films

That list only includes modern films - it would be difficult to include older films due to factors such as inflation.

I hope everyone has a good day

I knew it would be so

~Sparkling Summer~

Evening gang I’m just wringing the sweat out of my clothes after this evening’s Game of Thrones episode which I predict, will be record breaking tv. Watch out for it in tomorrow’s news

i hope you’ve all had a good day, it got out sunny and warm here

yogi I hope you have a smooth & fun sleepover with the tiddlers

The client has now provided me with the required documents so I'm back to their VAT return. Although the actual deadline is 7 May for this return I've always aimed to do it before the deadline date to give me some leeway.

I always look at the Radio Times Pointless puzzle which they have in the puzzles section at the end of the magaizne. The one in next week's issue was rather easy for me -
it's was to identify the 5 different types of tax in the puzzle.

Took me about 1 second to answer

Tomorrow is the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci. To mark that a requiem based on some of his writings has been composed by Cecelia McDowell - the premiere performance is next week. It was mentioned on the Radio 4 news this morning.

Here's a very short clip of a rehearsal:

Ros, you may be very interested in this as it could be a major choral work.

The work on the pavements has finally started - looks as if the council workmen had problems as they took 3 hours between arriving and starting. They've started  on the other side so it looks as if it will be days before they start on my side.

Hi El

We use to have grass verges on our streets. Then the council came along and put tarmac from kerb to fence. In the process of doing that they managed to sever my Internet connection

It was reconnected within three days at no charge to me

Hi everyone.

The tiddlers enjoyed their sleepover.

El, I hope the new pavement doesn’t cause you too many problems

Moonie, I like coots. There are some in the pond of one of the parks we visit.

Summer, it started off showery up here but, like you, we now have some sun.

No Squiggle this morning?

I hope you’ve all had a good day.
