I just had a call from mr summer- I'd left the gas hob on, unlit all night I never even smelled it this morning! Thank goodness he was home today!!!!!

Oh goodness, and you didn't smell a thing?  Thank goodness nothing worse happened and Mr Summer spotted it.

I never smelled a thing squiggle, I was right next to the hob this morning when I made breakfast too! It was on very low but I still should have smelled it I'm horribly unobservant anyway but that's outrageous. How's your weekend going?

How is your sense of smell generally Summer?  I know with some people its better than others.  Both my hubby and my daughter had sinus problems so I was the official 'nose' of the family

 

The day is going not too bad, I've just been playing chemicals and testing the water from my pond to make sure its OK for the fish.

 

How's the weekend going for you?  Weatherwise its made a sharp turn for the worse down here and has turned chillier as well.

Well folks, we're still here - the world hasn't come to an end after all.

I supposed I better dash out to the shops and get some food in as otherwise I'll starve.

Oh blow I knocked the teapot this morning while I was washing up and now the handle is loose, more expense

Don't be tempted to use it with a loose handle! I've done it before it a favourite mug ....................very messy and extremely uncomfortable 

Squiggle, I agree with Soozy, don't use the teapot if the handle is dodgy.

Thanks Soozy and Yogi, I thought I'd got away with it, I knew I'd caught it with a mug but when I went to pour tea this evening it felt loose and its only holding on by a thread now.  I have sorted out another teapot but its in the cupboard because it is so difficult to pour from, it takes up a lot of room, its very round and very low.  I shall be sensible and ditch the other one.

 

I think I will sign out now, catch up with you all tomorrow

Good morning everybody, its ever so windy here   On my way to church I have to go over a very high hill (there is a coastguard look out there) and its often extremely blustery there, so if you don't hear from me later then who knows where I will have blown to

El, I've only just read your earlier post about my bus stop achievement, thank you very much I love the bus stop, they really are a hilarious bunch in there I'm currently sitting on our portable massage chair- mr summer gave it too me one Christmas, I don't use it a lot, although I should really, but I'm enjoying it and hating it at the same time
