Hi again ros Aw both gorgeous dogs Mr summer is just as keen, our brother in law has a wonderful border terrier and will be breeding her when she next comes into season, we hope to have one of her puppies. It could be around Christmas at the earliest.. *crosses fingers*

She is actually prettier than she looks in the avatar pic, but she's not keen on cameras so it is difficult to get a nice pic. She's a Golden Retriever - a pampered one.

Middle son's fiancee's family have a Border Terrier - he is a wee cutie.

So it goes with many animals yogi, I think a photo doesn't capture their eyes as well as seeing them for real does, it's still a great pic though, she's a beautiful creature Shall I post a pic of our potential puppy mama?

When do you stop for Summer hols - I know it's later than up here?

we finish for whit half term next Friday for a week and for summer on July 21st until September 6th I think

No worries Ros, she looks more like a lab in that pic. One day, I'll get youngest son to upload some decent pics of her, then you'll be able to see her properly.

Our schools close at the end of June and they usually go back in mid August.

I'm off this morning to see another client in the middle of nowhere, but I'm not aware of any Blandford flies there - and I did escape them unscathed on my visit earlier this week.

Are you a map reader or a sat nav guy EL with all this finding clients in the middle of nowhere?

 

Lovely to read about all the dogs, Yogi I am envious I have always thought golden retrievers were gorgeous.  Mind you curly coated dachshunds are gorgeous too.  This is exactly what our beagle Ben looked like when he was a (very naughty) puppy.  He once came in when I had my mum and sister over and wasn't taking any notice of him and did a wee on the carpet right in front of us (he was just a puppy but still! )

There was a thread somewhere about Princess Beatrice's hat but I can't be bothered to go and look for it.  But for any in this thread who are interested there are 2 days to go on the auction and it has reached over £50,500.  I put it on my watch list out of interest (I am not intending to bid )

I believe the money is going to charity, so at least something good has come out of that monstrosity.

I'm wired up funny lol Morning everyone It started out sunny here but it's raining now, I stupidly chose a short sleeved top today too El, glad you didn't get bitten your clients certainly have you travelling around don't they! I'm back from today's trip to the middle of nowhere - no flies on me

 

Although many of my clients are town based, quite a few live out of town in the countryside. I don't use sat nav, but if I need to work out where I need to get to, I use Google Maps where I can zoom in right from street map to visual ground level. If necessary I print out a map or visual display.

 

Skylark, good luck with finding your son's keys.

Maybe you'll start off with a puppy, then get broody for babies later on.

Or perhaps, you'll stick with puppies - nothing wrong with that.

Skylark, keys usually turn up in the strangest places don't they hope you find them soon El, that's exactly how I do directions, what I've seen of sat nav's, they can be very unreliable!

Hubby says he doesn't know what he'd do without his satnav.

I reply, "get a map!"

Mr Yogi lost his car & house keys for three months. We found them when we were clearing out the garage (he had supposedly checked the garage thoroughly when he first lost them).

I remember my g'ma telling me that during the war they didn't have roadsigns, so without them they had to be able to read a map or they got lost! Yogi, I had to chuckle at your husbands version of searching thoroughly sounds very familiar!

Youngest son successfully completed his sponsored spin cycle, as did his workmates.

The mission looks set to receive a nice boost to their funds.

Well done to him (wonder what his legs will be like tomorrow, you must give him lots of TLC)

Well i have worried all day about those keys, i came to the conclusion that when he came in last night he must have left them in the door and someone had taken them. I searched everywhere. i put a washing on and heard clanking, i thought , not the washing machine now breaking down. But yes it was they keys! i told him last night to put his washing in, and the keys must have been on the floor (where he keeps his clothes ) and he had picked them up with the washing. I have ranted and raved most of the day!!

Thanks Squiggle. He says he knows his legs will be aching tomorrow but he isn't working this weekend so he has plenty of time to recover.
