Hope ALL are rank and file
Good morning, all
Weather is rainy.
I’ve got the tiddlers coming for a sleepover
See you tomorrow night, have a good weekend, everyone
Lovely song, Twickers
Emily Smith was on Songs of Praise some years ago with this:
Yogi, I hope you have a good time with the tiddlers over the weekend
Good morning everyone, cloudy but dry so far. I hope everyone's Christmas plans are progressing nicely.
Enjoy your day everyone
Quick hello while I’ve got a min! back tonight to catch up. Hope you’re all feeling good

Fairish weather here today, tomorrow looks to be another wet day.
Ros, I hope your internet issues get sorted out soon
Moonie, the original film version of Logan's Run does start Jenny Agutter and Michael York. The character Rem (Donald Moffatt) isn't in that film, just the TV series. There was the possibility of a film remake a couple of years ago but I don't know if that got any further than the drafting of a screenplay,
I hope everyone has a good day
thank you EL-better today

absolutely fascinating
night everybody summer if you pop in
Good morning apologies for not getting back last night, I was in bed by 8pm and couldn’t keep my eyes open. I’m having a restful day today
Happy Christmas Eve Eve! what are you all up to?
Yogi i I hope the tiddlers have been fun, I bet they’re excited
Good morning everyone
Cloudy here, has been raining and more to come. Forecast as the last wet day for the time being.
Yogi, I hope you are having a good time with the tiddlers
Intriguing drama on Channel 5 this evening - Agatha & The Truth of Murder. Fictional drama based on the real life disappearance of Agatha Christie and the real unsolved murder of a nurse - Florence Nightingale Shore (goddaughter of Florence Nightingale). Agatha Christie goes in search of who the murderer was leading to a typical Christie denouement. Also in the list of characters is Arthur Conan Doyle.
I hope everyone has a good day
May be that I could ask Agatha Christie to look into the disappearance of Christmas cards to me through the post which haven't arrived here- well over a third of them
El, a friend of mine had the same problem a few days ago. No post for days, and then a big pile of it all at once
Good morning everyone, it's mizzling here, a mixture of drizzle and mist so not a pleasant morning at all. Enjoy your restful day Summer and I hope your missing Christmas cards turn up soon EL.
Enjoy your day everyone
Thanks Summer and Squiggle There's no post deliveries tomorrow so the cards might turn up after Christmas. It's more than possible though that they've been delivered to the wrong address as that's been happening - the other day I got a payslip envelope fot one neighbour and another day another neighbour knocked on the door and gave me my post which has been delivered to her.
On yesterday's Pointless there was a round on carols. Most of them were well known. The two less well known ones were this Austrian one.
The other one was this as originally sung rather than modernised versions
Evening all
We had a great time with the tiddlers. They made cardboard wreaths which they decorated with sparkly foam holly and berries and other Christmas stickers, and they made Nativity scenes. Then we watched Elf
After we dropped them at home today, we visited my parents, then I came home and wrapped some more gifts.
El, I’ve also noticed we have had days with no cards delivered, then several arrive at once. I hope your missing ones turn up soon
Hope everyone is feeling organised and relaxed for Christmas.
Sounds great yogi! Top effort on the crafting projects
ive not long been back, I went to a carol service with my mum, which was brilliant. People have really welcomed her at her new church, it's lovely to see

I may not be talented but I try.
Aww, that sounds lovely. I’m so pleased your mum has been welcomed at church
I’m heading off to bed, goodnight and sweet dreams, Summer and Ros
Hug for any night owls
Sweet dreams yogi, you deserve the rest
El Loro posted:One of my favourite Advent hymns we had in church today:
sang that at nine lessons and carols today as we are the resident choir -as sopranos we sing a verse of our own absolutely adore it-vicar is brilliant and is quite high church -we sang four pieces one in welsh which we always do-church was packed to the rafters and candles only for last hymn and choir led the procession at the beginning and end of the service
night yogi and summer
Good morning everyone
Rather cloudy here but dry. Looks as if the weather may be dry for the rest of the year though cloudy.
Yogi, I'm glad you had a great time with the tiddlers
Ros, that's just how nine lessons and carols should be
Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht was first sung 200 years ago today - we know it as Silent Nigh, (Holy Night).
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning and happy Christmas Eve! My favourite day of the year
today we’re having our Xmas dinner at lunch with friends and then walking bramble. This evening I’m face timing my goddaughter and probably some other friends with children, and tonight we’re going to midnight mass with some other friends. I’m focusing on gratitude for friendships today 🙏🏻
What are are you all going to be doing?
Thank you El I’ve had a lovely lay in and now I’m going to start my day with a yoga session 👍
how are you?
I'm fine, Summer, thanks
I watched that Agatha & The Truth of Murder last evening. Didn't think much of it and a bit of a curate's egg - with bits of it alright. It wasn't sanctioned by the Agatha Christie Estate so was done without their permission. Rather crude in places which is why it was shown post watershed (not that there was any warning). Being repeated on Wednesday at 6.10 pm which must be an edited version as shorter (if not edited would be in breach of Ofcom rules).
Good morning everyone, a grey and cloudy day but dry. I didn't fancy that Agatha & The Truth of Murder so I gave it a miss, sounds like I was right to do so. I certainly didn't fancy that new version of Poirot with John Malkovitch in fact I feel a little outraged as we all know that David Suchet is the definitive Poirot. My daughter is similarly outraged at anyone playing Miss Marple other than Joan Hickson although I am less of a purist about that.
We have two very excited children on their second sleepover in a row who no doubt will be as good as gold today in anticipation. I've ordered a football for them which is waiting to be unwrapped and inflated (it's not a Christmas present) so no doubt a good kick about with their Daddy is in the offing.
Enjoy your day everyone
Squiggle, I'm not going to be watching that Malkovitch Poirot either for much the same reason as you.
It would have been fascinating if Anna Massey had ever played the part of Miss Marple as I think she could have been perfect. The closest she ever got to was as the older Agatha Christie in the television drama back in 2004 "Agatha Christie: A Life in Pictures". That was about her disappearance in 1926 (amnesia rather than solving a murder) - her part was relatively short - reminiscing about that time.
I hope your family have a lovely time
A link to a BBC article about some mince pies which have been put on display:

They have been preserved in a tin and were made during the second world war.
Good afternoon, everyone
A very frosty and foggy day - the frost looks Christmassy.
Summer, your plans for today sound perfect.
El, I’ve recorded the Agatha Christie programme but I think I’ll just delete it.
Squiggle, I so agree about David Suchet being the one and only Poirot. I won’t be watching the Malkovich version.
Are the little ones excited about Christmas?
Ros, I’m sure your choir sounded wonderful.
Have a lovely day, all
Yogi, you might prefer the Wednesday repeat of that Agatha Christie programme as it's being shown pre-watershed so would presumably cut out the cruder bits It's 1 hour 50 minutes timeslot rather than 2 hours.
Most of the world is getting different Google Christmas doodles to this country.
The one we saw yesterday in this country was this one:
Other countries saw this one:
I've seen what other countries will be getting tomorrow but it's too soon to post that one
squiggle that’s lovely, I bet the children are excited
we had a lovely dinner, my friends are so funny and we had a nice relaxing evening too, although I somehow cooked my duck upside down 🤷♀️ lol
Santa is almost here! I hope you’ve all had a lovely day
