Good morning everyone

Going to be a warm sunny day here with a forecast maximum of 21 C.

Yogi, I'm glad the tiddlers were on good form

Moonie, I'm not aware of technical issues affecting this site. Lori has announced that there's server maintenance today from noon to midnight - there may be short "outages" lasting 30 seconds - if that happens, wait a couple of minutes and try again.

I hope everyone has a good day

Thanks El and Moonie. Dad is okay but Mum has had a tummy bug and hasn’t been eating since the weekend. She’s so tiny and frail, I worry when she doesn’t eat.

Awwww so sorry to hear about your mum Yogi

Hopefully she will get over her tummy bug soon and start eating again

I/we sincerely hope so

Good morning everyone

At present it's quite sunny here but forecast to become showery. Forecast isn't good for Friday and Saturday.

Return visit this evening to the client who asked me various questions, some irrelevant, last time. What should be a routine straightforward meeting may turn out not to be. "I am building a time machine to go back a few years and make more money. Can I get tax relief for the costs of the time machine? In which year shall I have to pay the extra tax on the higher income and if that's backdated will I have to pay interest even though I didn't know when I sent in my return that I would make more money?"

I hope everyone has a good day

When I was looking through the Radio Times I noticed a film called "Home Sweet Home" on Talking Pictures channel on at present. It's a 1945 British musical comedy and would only appeal to fans of the north country comedian Frank Randle. What I noticed was the name of the lead actress Nicolette Roeg. I checked that out and she was the older sister of Nicolas, the director, best known for "Don't Look Now" and "The Man who fell to Earth" (and also that apocalyptic Aids warning short voiced by John Hurt).

I hope you can keep a straight face if you get any weird questions today

Good morning everyone

Cloudy and dull weather, with rain and wind forecast.

Grocery shopping and ironing awaits.

Have a good day everyone

Lots of lovely autumnal photos posted the other day on the BBC site:

The second one is for Moonie, there's one for steam train fans, lots of variety, and then there's the last one of Jessie

I love autumn colours

The swan, train and stag pics are particularly lovely

I liked those most as well. Did you spot that the steam engine was in the opposite direction to the carriages as if pushing them rather than pulling?
