What a beautiful owl. So heartwarming to see those guys painstakingly remove all that netting, and to hear them speak so gently to the owl. It was almost like the owl realised they were trying to help him.

Good morning cool but sunny here, I think it’s going to be a beautiful day! I had my breakfast outside  

aw lovely stories from yesterday, I do love the animals  

shopping went well y’day with my mum, I had just enough time to cut the grass and then I met my friend for tea. We had a brilliant catch up

It's getting wamer now but was below 7C outside when I got up so not many people would have breakfast outside

In one of my film reference books I came across a British film made in 1959 called "Shake Hands with the Devil". I don't know if it's ever been on television or ever will be. A thriller involving the IRA.

What I noticed was the cast. Quite a few fairly well known actors such as William Hartnell and Harry H Corbett. Better known actors such as Glynis Johns and Cyril Cusack. Even better known actors who were famous at the time - Michael Redgrave and Sybil Thorndike. Then in a minor role in his film debut Richard Harris. And finally, the biggest surprise of all, none other than James Cagney.

Good morning everyone, a cool but bright morning, they said last night on the local weather forecast that it is officially Autumn on 1 September, Saturday.  Some trees on the opposite hillside are already turning colour.

Good news for me as my commuting to work up and down stairs at home means that any emails I were to send during that time would count as work and that would mean that I can get more money from myself

Good morning everyone, a beautiful bright morning here, very calm and peaceful.  I had to chuckle at your link about the International Space Station EL, as it seems to back up my own personal DIY theory, everything can be fixed with No More Nails and Gaffer Tape!

Squiggle, I thought it was quite amusing when I heard that they had used tape to patch the hole on the ISS They don't think there's a risk to the crew and they are checking to see if a more permanent repair is needed.

The old computer is dead - the motherboard had blown and was corroding other things.

So I'm hoping to be able to log in to the client's dedicated accounts server to be able to do the work. That's still being arranged.

Very cloudy here. Supposed to brighten up later.

Thanks Yogi It will be the first time I've ever tried connecting to a client server. I think I know what I need to do but it may take a bit of trial and error.

Having a nice time with my brother. The cakes are nice and those lemon drizzle cakes are a lot better than those lemon curd bakes I had some time ago.

I had to rush Bramble to the vet yesterday, she was trembling & dribbling for over an hour and I thought she was going to collapse! But she’s ok, they did all kinds of tests and everything is normal. They gave her an anti sickness injection and told me to observe her and take her back if it reoccurs. 

Very strange but she’s had a good night
