Summer, I hope you have a good pancake brunch with your friends
Good morning everyone
Itβs raining up here.
Thanks Summer, Iβll happily share your BH - and save me some of your pancakes please Enjoy your brunch with your friends.
El, I definitely think the third pic will be Moonieβs favourite
I did try the wooden spoon thing and my rice didnβt boil over. That might have been down to me turning down the gas a little, once it started boiling.
Going over to my parents today to do some housework. Dadβs plaster should be coming off on Wednesday (fingers crossed) and he canβt wait.
Have a good day, all.
Yogi, yes, it's quite possible that's why it didn't boil over
That's great news about your Dad
Good morning everyone, a dry morning and that's about all you could say about it. What wonderful photos, they are all so beautiful, I voted for Little Wings and I liked Easter Bunnies too but I like the ones that other Buddies have chosen as well. Well said Summer, I hope those north of the border will share our Bank Holiday too.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good afternoon Buddies
Rather cloudy and cool here but not as cold as yesterday. Still dry for now too
Yogi, quite right about my piccie choice
Good luck with the housework at your parents and I really do hope your dads plaster does come off on Wednesday
π€ I am still a fan of the spoon on the saucepan stopping it boiling over El π
Have a great day everyone
Moonie, Yogi and I were right about your preference being the third picture

You certainly were El

Thanks El
Squiggle, I liked the bunnies too.
lol Moonie, after todayβs CDWM, are you sure you still believe in the wooden spoon trick to stop stuff boiling over
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Ros
Hug for the night owls
night yogi summer if you pop in
Good morning everyone
Cloudy but dry here today.
Yogi, as I don't watch CDWM, what happened re you posting about wooden spoons and boiling water?
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone.
Weather is cool and dry.
El, yesterdayβs CDWM contestant was heating milk and she placed a wooden spoon on top to stop it boiling over. Letβs just say, it didnβt work.
I need to go clothes shopping today. I hate clothes shopping!!
Have a good day, all
Yogi, I see
I know you hate clothes shopping so I hope you find what you are looking for without too much difficulty
Good morning everyone, grey clouds today and not a hint of blue. I know how you feel Yogi, good luck.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning cloudy but pleasant here today
I know a different technique for cooking rice, let me see if I can find you a link. Itβs an Indian way and itβs foolproof for perfect fluffy rice, with no need to drain and no chance of the pan boiling over π€
pancakes were a huge success, I made the biggest pile ever! Then we played cards games for ages
Good morning Buddies
After a sunny start itβs turned cloudy now. No rain forecast though
Shopping done. Washing on the line so I have to find something, that isnβt sport, to occupy me now
Yogi, when I go clothes shopping, I already have a list of whatβs required and where I have to get it from. So my clothes shopping is quite painless
Sweet Iβm glad everything passed off well
*imagines a HUGE pile of pancakes*
Hi El and squiggle
Have a great day everyone
Summer, I'm glad your pancake brunch was a huge success
Squiggle, as with you, no sign of any blue amidst the clouds here.
Moonie, my clothes shopping is much as yours so painless and not that interesting
Once a year a rather unusual football match takes place at Bourton on the Water. It's a five a side match which is played in the shallow River Windrush which flows through the centre of the village. It's played by Bourton Football club as a first XI team against a second XI team. It's done to raise funds for the club. Yesterday;s match resulted in a 3-2 win for the second XI.
Here's a brief clip from yesterday. Starts off with a panoramic view of the locality which if you've ever been there, you'll recognise it. The football is what you would expect though I didn't see much in the way of players diving,
And the referee is easy to spot
Summer, it sounds like your pancake brunch as a great success
Squiggle, I think you and I must have missed out on the shopping gene
I hope you are all having a good day

Thatβs a bit different

Hi El and squiggle
Have a great day everyone

Have a great day everyone

Thatβs good news
Yogi, I'm glad you had reasonable success with your clothes shopping
A pink outfit with a see-through parasol and wearing boots to splash about in the river
I see that BBC's Autumnwatch is going to be rather different this year as it's being done in New Hampshire in the States.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/ent...inment-arts-45332214
The state is known for it's beautiful autumnal leaves on trees.
The state next to New Hampshire is Vermont which also has spectacular autumnal scenes. One of Alfred Hitchcock's lesser known films was The Trouble with Harry. It was shot in Vermont in the autumn and possibly the best thing about the film is the scenery. Here's a clip of stills from that film, the earlier stills being of the scenery.
Music from the film by Bernard Hermann.

Certainly made the ref stand out
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Ros
Night owl hugs
Sweet dreams I hope you all had a good day x
Good morning everyone
Another cloudy day here.
So goats like happy human faces:

I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning I hope you all slept well
i like the goat story it makes sense! I like happy faces, not angry ones
Iβm taking my mum shopping today, she needs curtain poles. So we may as well grab a bite to eat while weβre out
have you seen that the strictly launch night is September 8th? Iβm excited! ππ»
Good morning everyone.
Weather is cool, dry and bright.
Summer, hope the curtain pole shopping with your mum goes well.
El, the goat story reminded me of my eldest. When he was around 3 years of age, he used to categorise everyone into βsmileyβ or βnot smileyβ people. He only liked the smiley ones.
Have a good day, all.
Yogi, that's very understandable about your eldest as smiling people appear more welcoming than unsmiling people
Such a beautiful owl
Squiggle, that's a gorgous owl and it was a relief to all that it was freed in the end.
