Hi everyone
My son says thanks for your support for him. The interview went well, but a lot there, he was third. Decisions will be made sometime next week, and all applicants will be told either way. Thats good, as a lot of companies unfortunately dont let you know. Which can be rather annoying, especially when you are only 17 , and want to know as soon as possible to put you out of the misery of waiting.
Sorry you didnt get to your appt Yogi, hope you are feeling ok x

Summer, I've been playing about with these smiley codes and I have created a list of them over on the Tips and Tricks pages. You might want to have a look at them to see if there are any which you would like to use. Also if there are any other smileys where you know the code and I haven't listed it, could you post the code and smiley there, then I'll edit my opening post to include them.
Link to the list of smiley codes
And after that lot, I'm off to have my tea
Thanks Summer, very kind thought xx
Thanks Summer xx
Going to have a bath and early night
Goodnight

Hiya Sweet Summer
No we haven't met and no never played Bus Stop game
Right off to finish watching The Apprentice.
Bye for now
Sorry I didn't managed back earlier on - got an unexpected visit from middle son and his fiancee.
Skylark, fingers still crossed for your son. At least the company are going to let them know, so many don't even bother.
Liverpoollass, welcome back and I'm glad you are going to come back again..
Good morning everyone
Thanks Summer for your input on that Smiley thread - 26 now listed out of 45, so still quite a lot of them left to find, but I think the more comminly ones used are listed.
Less cloudy this morning at present, but there is still the possibility of showers.
Good morning everyone, very overcast here today. EL I think you have at least one smiley that doesn't show up in the graemlins box that I use, which is the angry one which disappears and reappears. I checked and we don't seem to have that one, so you are doing better than those of us that can see the box
Wouldn't it be wonderful Skylark if your son was successful, well you know how hard we all are wishing for that
Catch you later.
Good morning everyone. It is pouring with rain (locally known as "stoatin' doon) and is windy, too.
I've got to go out later to do the weekly grocery shopping - hope the rain has stopped by then.
Morning
Very windy day here
Nice to see you back Liverpoollass
My hayfever playing up today, going up to chemist to get some antihistamine . i have ran out. My head feels like someone is playing the drums , and my eyes are stinging. Anyone else suffer?
Bye for now xx
Skylark that sounds horribly uncomfortable. I am lucky in that I don't suffer from hayfever myself but my sister suffered terribly every summer. Chris Evans on Radio 2 was saying this morning that he is having an injection for his hayfever today, never heard of that one before. Hope you feel better soon.
Skylark, I'm sorry to hear about your hay fever. I do get a bit of hayfever at this time of year, but not very badly, and it generally stops within a few days. I hope you get better quickly.
squiggle, the angry smiley is the oddest smiley of all as as times it's not visible at all, so you don't know immediately that it's there.Only another 19 smileys to find out the code. I suspect some of them will be too obscure to work out.
Summer, no problem - and you got the nod one which I hadn't worked out. There's 9 left to find, mainly seasonal ones.
I have checked the smilies again and the disappearing mad is there, there is also a red christmas bauble and a blue one, a pumpkin and a gift package. There are 2 ninja ones which look absolutely identical to me a christmas stocking, a witch and a christmas hat.
I was doing a search to see if I could find out a list of the keystrokes for the smileys we haven't yet cracked. No luck there, but I did find a little secret. If you point over the smiley icon in the Post Reply box you will see the smileys being referred to as Graemlins. A good 10 years ago when Social Strata was in the early days (they were in existence well before this forum was created), a user made a suggestion that Social Strata should introduce smileys. Ted liked the idea and so created the smileys we use. As a tribute to the use whose same was Graeme, he called the smileys after him.
Hi everyone xxx Have taken some antihistamine in nasal form, feel a bit better. Had a good old sneeze earlier and its cleared things. Wont be too graphic !!
Hope you are all well this evening x
Glad you're feeling better Skylark. Have you had the test to see which pollens you react to in particular?
Going to sign off now, speak to you all tomorrow.

Night all, sweet dreams x
Good morning everyone. The sun is shining, although showers are forecast for later on.
Skylark, I've never had hayfever but my late brother suffered terribly with it. Sometimes, his eyes were so sore and tight that he could hardly see - and he would get asthma with it too.
I hope your antihistamines ease things for you.
El and Summer, I am following your Graemlin search with interest.
for everyone who comes into the thread.
