Yogi, I hope all goes well at your parents and that your dad is taking things easy
Good morning everyone, it's a beautiful cool morning so far, very welcome. I know it will heat up later but I'm enjoying it while I can. I hope all goes well at your parents Yogi, that your Mum hasn't been too upset by this illness and that your Dad is fighting back.
The view out to Wales this morning looks like a painting, the sea is a beautiful silvery blue.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning sunny here, itâs going to be a scorcher!
Yogi hope all goes smoothly today and that you find your parents well
LOVE that art work El! I thought I saw the ISS pass over here the other night, I hope it was anyway, I love it
Good morning everyone
Shopping and banking done in the cool of the day. Itâs warming up a bit now
Yogi, I hope all goes well on your visit to your parents this morning
Have a great day Buddies
Summer, I think there are websites which show the position of the ISS so you might be able to check if you wanted to,
A strange coincidence. As a child there were two films I saw with my parents which I found disturbing and both of them starred Tyrone Power.
The lesser film was the 1949 film Prince of Foxes which also had Orson Welles in. It's a historical movie with Welles as one of the Borgias and Power as a commoner. It's only one scene and it's a black and white film so a lesser impact but Power pretends to gouge his eyes out and then shows that it's two large grapes which he squashed.
The other one is the 1947 film Nightmare Alley which is Power's darkest film and untypical of the films he's best known for. Many people would still find that film disturbing particularly the bleak ending. I think the film is due to be remade in the next year or so.
A spin off series of Bletchley Circle set in San Francisco starts tonight on ITV though only Julie Graham and Rachel Stirling remain from the original. Radio Times says 4 episodes though IMDB show that 8 have been made.
Liquid water lake found under the south polar ice cap of Mars though is likely to contain so much salts of various types that would not be very hospitable for any sort of life forms to exist,

Afternoon all
Itâs warm here!
Thanks everyone for your good wishes for my mum and dad. We got some shopping in for them and did some household chores, and MrY prepared food for their evening meal.
My middle son called in last night after work and my youngest is calling in tomorrow. My eldest has ordered grab rails and is going to fit them in the bathroom and at the outside doors.
El, I donât think Iâve seen either of those films - donât think Iâd like them.
I havenât watched any of the new Bletchley series. I enjoyed the first series but thought series 2 went off the boil.
I hope you are all keeping cool and are having a good day.
Yogi, I'm glad all is well with your parents and it's a good idea re fitting thise grab rails
I'm not expecting much from the spin off Bletchley Circle series though might try it. As you say the second series was a lesser series than the first. Apparently the spin off series has been made after fans clamoured for more to be made.

Iâve been a busy bee today; wardrobe shopping, tip run, flat pack assembling, dog walking, celebrating my friends house purchase...
Good morning everyone
Sunny with some clouds here, forecast to 29 or 30 here so hot but not as hot as in the east.
Summer, you have been a very busy bee
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
Itâs hot and sunny up here.
Summer, your day off sounds busier than when you are at work
Got a lot to do today, so will catch up later. Have a good day, all.
Good morning everyone, not a cloud in the sky and just a touch of a cool breeze. The mornings are pleasant, I prefer them to the hotter afternoons and evenings. They reckon this is going on until at least the end of August!
Enjoy your day everyone
Yogi, I hope your busy day goes well
Squiggle, the Met Office are currently forecasting a high of 20 for Sunday for my area with some rain though starting to get warmer from Monday.

Afternoon all
All my running about is now over
Summer, I definitely think you need a relaxing day off for yourself
El, that was a lovely story about the wedding ring.
Iâve told Mr Yogi weâre going paddling in some nearby rivers to see if we can find any gold
Squiggle, I agree that itâs much nicer in the morning heat. Evenings can be absolutely stifling atm.
Yogi, I inherited a tiny Alaskan gold nugget through my grandfather though I don't know where he got it from; I'm not aware that he ever did any prospecting or was in that part of the world.

What a really lovely thing to inherit, El
The nugget is encased in the mineral (possibly laterite) it was found in so isn't shiny gold. It's kept in a small frame so as not to get lost. The inscription says original Alaskan gold nugget so as found.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Ros

Sweet dreams yogi
a very hot evening here, but I love it. Iâll look back on this long hot summer in years to come and smile. I walked Bramble very slowly tonight, beside a river, which she sat in for ages
I hooped youâre all keeping cool sweet dreams x
Good mornng everyone
Sunny and warm here. Forecast to be much cooler over the weekend with some rain probable particularly on Sunday. Thunderstorms are forecast on the eastern side of England but not for my area.
Summer, sounds as if Bramble had the right idea
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, very overcast and humid this morning with heavy clouds slowly moving, I don't think there's any rain in them for the moment though. There is rain in the forecast for today although never more than about 50% chance of it. That sounds like a lovely walk for you and Bramble Summer.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning all
Not particularly sunny but warm and humid today.
Summer, Bramble was a smart girl to cool off in the river
Off to my parents for most of the day. Have a good day, all.
Squiggle, I think we'll be getting some rain tomorrow and definitely Sunday for quite some time
Yogi, I hope your day with your parents goes well
