Summer, I hope it's not to painful for you in the meantime
I hope Moonie is alright. Hasn't been on since Sunday and was taking his ipad in to the Apple store on Monday afternoon to get them to sort it out.
Evening all
Summer, is your back still out of alignment after your pogo fall?
El, I hope Moonieâs absence is iPad related and he isnât unwell.
My dad has been discharged from hospital but he canât weight bear for six weeks.
It has been a busy day.
Evening all
Hope all are well, and particularly Moons. Good to see that your dad has been discharged Yogi - at least he'll be more comfortable in his own surroundings and with his family around him. He'll need to take it easy though and I can imagine you've had your hands full
Sweet, didn't realize you had knocked your back out so it goes without saying I hope all goes well on Friday I did laugh at the personal best bit though!
squiggs, Ros and El, hope you're managing to stay cool down there - what a summer you are having. And El, hope you're managing to stay busy
No tennis, no football, soon no politics for 6/7 weeks...tv really is weak just now.
Enjoy your evening everyone
Yogi, that's good that your dad's considered stable enough to go home
As you say, I hope Moonie isn't unwell

Evening Tuco Weâve had an eventful afternoon, trying to put things in place to cover all the things Dad normally does around the house, and make sure he is actually able to do all the things he says he can do for himself.

Thanks El. TBH, I think they would have had to tie him to the bed to keep him in there.
Evening gang oh yay welcome home papa yogi!!!!! heâll heal better in his own home
yes my back is out of alignment, Iâm not in any pain but Iâm uncomfortable. I feel crooked & unbalanced, but itâs my own stupid fault so I canât complain lol
I hope too hope Moonie is ok, he did say the problem could be with his internet service

Will you tell the chiropractor how you did it?
Did you have a relaxing day off?
Goodnight and sweet dreams, everyone
Hugs for any night owls
been cloudy and not warm here todaybut has been a fantastic summer
night yogi summer if you pop in
Good morning everyone
Cloudy but bright here, still warm.
Tuco, there's the golf Open at Carnoustie which has started today, European Athletics Championships in the second week of August, and various tennis tournaments in the States in August leading up the the US Open.
Yogi, you may have to strap your dad down to stop him overdoing things too soon
Summer, I think you should tell the chiropractor about the pogo stick incident so that they can see how the fall affected your spine
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
Another sunny morning.
El, you are right, my dad is very determined and stubborn so we need to make sure he does as he was told. If he doesnât take it easy, his recovery will take longer, and we will keep reminding him of that.
Ros, it has been a fantastic summer but, I admit to being fed up of watering the hanging baskets and planters. Living in Scotland, Iâm not used to having to water plants.
Have a good day, everyone
Good morning apologies for churchilling last night ð I hope you all slept well.
How are we all today?
When I phoned the chiro I told him what Iâd done, he laughed and agreed Iâm old enough to know better lol
iâll just try to enjoy the road trip and look forward to feeling straight after
Good morning everyone, a beautiful morning with a breeze that's slightly chilly (total bliss ). My dad was the same as your's Yogi and, as long as he's sensible, it's the best attitude to have when recovering from something like this. My dad had a hip operation in his 70's and was soon striding up and down the hospital corridors fully determined the recover his mobility.
This is probably the most beautiful thing I've come across this year
Summer, I'm busy with client work as you can guess
I hope the visit to the chiropractor goes well
Morrions to have a quiet hour on Saturdays from 9 am to 10 am. It's to help autistic people but I can see it being of interest to others.

El Loro posted on 28 September 2016El Loro posted on 20 October 2015I have to have professional indemnity insurance and there's been a broker who has been emailing me to see if I was interested in getting a quote from them. I wasn't and have recently renewed the policy for the coming year.
The broker rang me the other day so I told him that I had already renewed the policy with the exisiting insurers.
Got an email this morning from the broker with a quote for the next year. I'm not impressed and replied accordingly.
(in any case their quote was higher than what I'm paying )
That's from a year ago. The same broker sent me a letter a few days ago for this next year's insurance and sent me an email just now. I've sent a strong email back telling them that any further communications will be ignored and to remove me from their database,
Same broker but a different person from a different office has just rung me about professional indemnity insurance. I told her about the above and told her to remove me from their database. She said there was no record of me having told them to stop contacting me, not that it surprises me that the previous man had ignored my instruction. She would do that and check that there were no duplcate record for me. (Brokers name is one that is easily remembered)
Two shark news stories in the last couple of days:
A blue shark filmed off the coast at St Ives in Cornwall:

and more seriously, a shark has attacked two children off the coast of Long Island, New York (they escaped with puncture wounds):
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-44882921
Squiggle thatâs a lovely story i have o- blood and I try to donate it as often as possible
El, I heard rumours of a shark sighting here in the north east recently too ðĶ
One of the many famous films I've never seen is Jaws (or any of the sequels).
Good afternoon
A rundown of my week so far...
Monday...too iPad to Apple shop...full diagnostic...all aâok...
Went home because it had to have been the internet...Rang Virgin Media...appointment for Wednesday...they arrived...new router fitted...everything seems to be fine, touch wood âtaps headâ
Still roasting here. I am off to sit in a dark cold room until I cool down a little
Hope you are all okay

Squiggle, that has to be one of the sweetest stories Iâve ever heard. What a little gem he is.
Iâm glad I donât like swimming in the sea, with all those sharks around
Moonie!!! Good to have you back and glad the new router seems to have fixed things
Yogi, just when you thought it was safe to go in the water.....
Moonie, I'm glad it seems that it's been sorted out by the new router

So it might have been Sean Connery as Gandalf in the Lord of the Ring films, John Travolta as Forrest Gump, Will Smith as the lead in the Matrix films and Julia Roberts in Shakespeare in Love:

Afternoon all
Itâs raining up here but the ground and plants need it so, I donât mind as long as it doesnât hang around for too long
Summer, I hope the chiropractor fixes your pogo stick injury
We have been over at my parents, sorting out some paperwork for them and doing housework and making lunch. Youngest son is calling in tonight with grocery shopping and will check on them
Have a good day, everyone.
My middle son was in the bank today, when the automatic doors opened and a rabbit ran in.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Ros
