Oh dear, hope things go a bit faster for you on The Apprentice thread. I always blame the weather, not sure why!! But it does seem to me on a nice sunny day the internet works better

Off to play a game, might pop back if not see you all tomorrow.

Thanks Squiggle, enjoy your game.

BTW, I still chase that blooming cat around in Circle The Cat. I even catch it sometimes.

It was a great game, I think I've lost the bookmark now I think it went with the laptop.  Did you ever play that infuriating game where you had to ferry the people across the river, policement and robbers etc, it was a Japanese game and it drove my friend and I mad.

That guy on Facebook has contacted me, turns out he is connected to my brother in some way, I will probably find out more tomorrow.

Night all

Aw fingers crossed for your son skylark, if he makes a good impression then they'll likely keep his number for future, but of course I'm hoping he does get the job straight away good on him for trying, I speak to so many young lads who just can't be bothered to go get a job and then complain of boredom! good evening to you all, hope you've had a lovely Tuesday

Squiggle, it comes onto Box Office on Monday, 23rd May.

Good morning everyone.    Another hot, sunny day here today, although there is a slight possibility of some showers over the next couple of days.  Boy do we need it!!!

Hope all goes well at the hospital this morning Yogi.  I will be thinking about you.  I'm sure all will be well.

Not a lot to tell.  My life has been rather boring as I cannot get away from the house unless there is someone to drive me.  The consultant said before the operation that it would be three months before I could drive, so that's another seven weeks away!!

Will try and pop back later.  Love you all.

Joyron

Good morning everyone.

Thank you all for your good wishes but I'm afraid I have had to postpone my hospital appointment. I was unwell overnight and not able to go. Mr Yogi and I had gone out for something to eat yesterday, and that may have been the cause of my upset tummy.

Anyway, I have a new appointment for later in the month, and I'm starting to feel a bit better now.

Joyron, lovely to have you back posting with us.

Skylark, I hope your son's interview goes well today.xx

Will be back later this afternoon.

Joyron, I realised from a friend who had the knee replacement that there would be a period of time before you could drive again. At least you are now almost half way through the 3 months now. Where I live, there is a Dial-A-Ride service for anyone who cannot drive and would have difficulty in getting on a bus. The service picks people up from their homes and drops them off in town for them to be able to do their shopping etc. Then the service bus takes them back home. The buses are fitted so that people can walk on to the bus without having to climb a step. There is a charge for this service.

Yogi, I'm sorry to hear about your upset tummy  - at least you are feeling a bit better.

El Loro

Hi everyone, I came back a slightly different way owing to road works.  Drove past a field full of lambs, I love to see them at this time of year.  There were twins, which were so cute, several black and white ones and one totally black (his mum was very very dark brown and shaggy) that makes a change a shaggy sheep story

What a good idea about Dial-a-RideEL we have it down here too, I wonder whether Joyron has it.

Sorry to hear about the upset tummy Yogi, it must be very frustrating at times, glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.

Thanks for telling me about The Kings Speech Joyron but I always wait for them to come on Sky Movies, I never pay the extra for Sky Box Office, perhaps I'm mean but I reckon they get enough out of me anyway and patience is a virtue

Interestingly enough due to the diversion I had to take I ended up going down the B road where you can see the new wind turbines they are erecting.  There are about 5 already erected and its quite windy today but no blades were turning

Yes, they are. Goes by the name of klaatu42 on Youtube. If you click here, you get to klaatuu42's channel and you will find other clips of talking animals

For film buffs, Klaatu is the name of the alien visitor in The Day the Earth Stood Still (both the original version with Michael Rennie and the semi-remake with Keanu Reeves
