Yesterday's BBC Countryfile had an item which will be of interest to quite a few of us.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/...ile-northern-ireland
It launched this year's Countryfile photograph competition, theme this year being seasons and the sun.

It starts at 20 minutes 20 seconds, lasts about 11 minutes which is 11 minutes of delight and very relaxing. The judges this year are Simon King (as in previous years) and Cerys Matthews (her first time as judge).

Watch out for Cerys doing all the work in rowing the boat, you might catch the lesser spotted phone singing in the background at one point, and just for Moonie, there are swans.

Did you know itโ€™s not illegal to โ€˜clockโ€™ a car

Itโ€™s only illegal if you โ€˜clockโ€™ it and sell it on without informing the buyer it has been โ€˜clockedโ€™ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I didnโ€™t know that.

That's been a known loophole in the law for years, the government may one day make it illegal to clock a vehicle. I can't see any legitimate reason for clocking, and it's not something that has ever crossed my mind to do.

Neither can I, El.

*night owls*

well gang, when it rains it certainly pours! And Iโ€™m talking about life, not the weather. A very busy 24 hours here, but my ability to face lifeโ€™s challenges has improved vastly, and Iโ€™m thankful for that

thanks for tge link El, watch out for zebra onesie wearing crowds here soon!

moonie i hope you enjoyed tonightโ€™s match, the grapevine informs me that it was a good result

Twitter announcement on a French train company's account yesterday:
"Le train actuellement ร  quai en gare d'Auber et en direction de Boissy-Saint-Lรฉger, stationne suite ร  un malaise voyageur."

Later announcement:
"Suite ร  la naissance inopinรฉe d'un bรฉbรฉ dans un train en gare d'Auber, le trafic est interrompu entre les gares CDG/Etoile et Nation."

That's one way of getting 25 years of free travel on Paris's rail system

hows that? same cut squiggle, Iโ€™m ticking the long wavey bob these days aka the WOB. Iโ€™ve had 3 different blondes highlighted through it and after my sunny holiday, iโ€™ll be adding lowlights of 3 darker blondes. I like my colours to look as natural as possible, and Iโ€™ve got 4 unicorn sparkly silver hairs now too itโ€™s fabulous!

I hope you all had a good day

I didnโ€™t realise that Moonie doesnโ€™t watch England games!

Squiggle, it looks as if from tomorrow it will becoming warmer and sunnier for us with little sign of any rain for quite some time (good for holidaymakers, bad for farmers and gardeners).

You may have seen this from the Met Office published yesterday:

The dark brown areas are those where rainfall has been well below average for June. Though because of the wet spring, the Met Office don't have concerns about water supplies this summer provided people are sensible.

Yogi, I wonder if that could possibly be PB

Got it in one, El.

We have two large unicorn toys in our spare room for the children and weโ€™ve bought them another two which they took home with them.

I thought it more likely to be PB rather than BB (or Mr Y )

BB also likes them - atm he likes everything PB likes.

MrY isnโ€™t quite so keen on unicorns.

It's been reasonably sunny here today if a bit breezy. Just been doing some garden clearance with the garden wheelie nearly full (though I haven't squashed it down). With the temperature forecast to get higher in the next few days I thought I'd do some before then. (and the wheelie gets emptied on Monday). Back to client work and another client rang while I was gardening to say she's ready for me to do her accounts. Busy, but not complaining and I've been telling people that I have a lot of work in (all coming in within a short period of time) and so I wouldn't be doing theirs straightaway.

Hi El

Busy is good in your business

My garden is in sort of reasonable shape now. Looks like the fence is the next priority

Well done Moonie One of my clients does things like fencing so I get him to deal with mine when necessary (and he charges me properly when he does work and similarly I charge him for his accounts and tax return - the days of not charging and doing freebies instead don't go down well with my institute).

Thanks El

I guess you do have to be careful in your line of business about freebies, it could be misconstrued

Afternoon all

We had rain last night but today it is bright and breezy.

Iโ€™ve been out and about today and now Iโ€™m chilling with a cuppa.

I hope you are all having a good day.

Hi Yogi

I have just sat down to have a cuppa too

Still cool and windy here but the sun has finally arrived

Not done much today but hey ho

You are usually busy so itโ€™s good to have the odd day of doing not very much
