Summer, I don't think any of the motoring offences we've mentioned would be regarded as criminal particularly as they were all mistakes rather than deliberate

Thatâs fascinating El, I often wonder what the planet would look like if us humans ceased to exist ðĪ Mother Nature would certainly reclaim it back
sweet dreams everyone I hope youâve all had a lovely day x
Good morning everyone
Quite bright here this morning and forecast to be a dry day.
Summer, in Genesis chapter 1, God gave humans authority over the land, the sky and the sea and all life theron, but with that authority, there is the implicit need for that to be exercised responsibly.
I hope Yogi and co are having a good time
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, it has been dull and overcast but it seems to be brightening up quite nicely now.
I think the words of Genesis are so beautiful EL, the way God phrases His plan for His world - replenishing and subduing .
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone
Cloudy here at present but forecast to become brighter.
BBC headline today "Tea towels can cause food poisoning".
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-44401330
But the study was carried out on 100 tea towels which had been used for a month and the bacteria was more likely where the towel had been used for more than just drying utensils. So hardly surprising.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, a pleasant morning, slightly hazy sunshine. Teatowels used for more than a month!!! What on earth is the point of a survey like that? They'll be telling us next that sewers have germs in them.
Enjoy your day everyone
Squiggle, I agree with you about that survey. It was carried out by the University of Mauritius so it may be that what we would take as obvious isn't the case elsewhere..
Channel turning over lunch, came across some film called Collision Earth. Watched a few minutes in disbelief before moving on. It's some sort of science fiction disaster film. Apparently the Sun has suddenly changed to a magnetar. (those do exist and they are a type of neutron star which emits high energy electromagnetic radiation - x-rays and gamma rays - neutron stars are the remnants of stars, so the film concept is rubbish). So the result of the Sun changing to a magnetar is that Mercury is thrown out of orbit and is going to crash into the Earth (that's ever so slightly preposterous and in any case the radiation would destroy all life).
The IMDB page for the film is full of scathing comments from people who've seen the film about the science concepts being as bad as any science fiction film made and that the acting is pretty non-existent.
Good morning everyone
A sunny day here.
I'm out this morning visiting the client who lives in the middle of nowhere. He had been living in Hereford but now lives in a converted barn somewhere in the countryside. It's just as well that I've been able to work out where thanks to Google maps.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, a lovely morning here. I hope all goes well with your client meeting EL. Did you used to enjoy map reading before Google Maps, I used to love Ordinance Survey Maps, the really detailed ones and me and my husband found some lovely out of the way places, he used to drive and I was the navigator.
Enjoy your day everyone
Thank you Squiggle, all went well with that client meeting
Yes, I did like looking at maps. Besides Google Maps I also had a look at an Ordinance Survey Map for the area I was going to. Although I had the client's address with postcode, as there is no name for the road and it's a converted barn, it wasn't that obvious where. I identified the approximate location, took a screenshot of the two most likely areas from Google map showing the satellite view so that buildings can be identified, emailed them to the client who confirmed which screenshot and which building.
How long he'll stay there I don't know as he's lived in quite a number of places over the years, probably around 10 in the around 20 years he's been a client.
Re my post of the 7th. The certificate arrived this morning with the expected result. So I can remain a BOOM
Evening all
We had a lovely time, and the weather was dry and quite mild.
I havenât read back yet but I hope you are all well
Ros, I hope you enjoyed your holiday
Goodnight and sweet dreams, everyone, Hug for any night owls

night yogi-yes lovely thank you -went to padstow-love Cornwall and Devon
glad your weekend went well
night summer if you pop in
Good morning everyone
Cloudy and cooler than yesterday.
I'm glad Yogi and Ros had good holidays
Ros, a boom is an acronym for someone who has a business but is required to comply with money laundering regulations in terms of checking the IDs of their customers/clients and reporting suspicious transactions to the authorities - there's a lot more involved than that but that's a simpler summary, I had to get a criminal record check done for myself which is what I was referring to when I posted that I'd received the certificate (no record as I already knew).
Two straightforward client meetings this morning. One here which will only take a few minutes as it's just for him to sign his tax return. The other is the other side of town which always takes some time whilst the client tries to find documents I need - she's 80 and has arthritis so I accept that it takes longer.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, a nice morning with a slight cooling breeze which is welcome. I'm glad you both had a good time Yogi and Ros - down in my part of the country Ros and I think you will have had good weather while you were down here which always makes it extra special. I hope both meetings are trouble-free EL.
Enjoy your day everyone
Thanks Squiggle The first and shorter meeting is done, no problems and his tax return is signed and filed with HMRC. On my way out to visit the second and longer meeting so unlikely to be back until after lunchtime.
Good morning apologies for being Awol! Iâm now back to reality and excited to catch up with you all. How are you?!
On Sunday we walked 27 miles! Bramble did half of that, because some friends of mine picked her up for me and drove her up with them, where we then met them half way I spent miles 10-13 getting excited about seeing my Bramble, so that really helped my motivation.
Iâm feeling good generally, but very tired
thanks for sharing the genesis stories, it really is beautiful
as for the tea towels... I think Iâd want to burn them after a month! I get through 3-4 per week and I donât even dry my dishes with them!
Back from my second client meeting which went as smoothly as expected, just one passbook she needs to get updated so that I can see the interest received.
Well done Summer on your marathon walk (a marathon is just over 26 miles) and well done Bramble on a half-marathon

Well done on completing the long walk, Summer
Iâm glad you enjoyed your holiday, Ros
Squiggle, Iâm pleased youâve been enjoying good weather recently
I had a good day with the tiddlers. We did some baking and some gardening
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Ros
Hug for any night owls
Sweet dreams yogi I didnât realise you had the tiddlers today, I think my head is still on your holiday time!
Sweet dreams everyone else

it was gorgeous weather and gorgeous squiggle love it
night yogi and summer
Good morning everyone
At present it's sunny here but forecast to cloud over.
Yogi, I'm glad you had a good day with the tiddlers
Summer, nice name change
No client meetings arranged for today so I can make a start on the accounts for the client in the middle of nowhere.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning a sunny & bright start here today I think rain is forecast later here too
thank you El if us Buddies went on a summer holiday, where would we go..?!
Good morning everyone, a little cloudy this morning but I don't think we get rain until much later today. That would be a tricky one Summer, some of us no doubt love to bask in soaring temperatures and some of us would be shade bunnies - maybe the Lake District? So beautiful and sort of a midway point geographically.
Enjoy your day everyone
The Lake District would be a good idea (if they can get their train services restored)
That sounds lovely, we could sit by the lakes and eat grasmere gingerbread
ive put washing outside but on my airers, just in case I have to dash out and bring it all back inside, it definitely feels like it will rain at some point
Summer, there are signs that the weather is in the process of changing to wetter and windy particularly in the north for the next couple of days. It's all thanks to the jet stream which has moved to going over the country.
Afternoon all
Itâs cloudy and I think rain is on the way.
Love the new name change, Summer.
Squiggle, Iâm happy with your suggestion of the Lake District
El, the only good thing about the change of weather is that I wonât need to water all the hanging baskets tonight
Have a good day, all
Yogi, and you probably won't need to water the hanging baskets tomorrow either
