Good morning everyone
A mix of sunshine and cloud here. Rain expected in the evening.
Another client meeting this morning - should be very straightforward.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
Cloudy with light showers forecast for here. Feels cool.
El, I hope the meeting goes well
No plans for today, except housework.
Have a good day, all.
Good morning cooler and clouded here today, come back sunshine!
Iâm still giggling about Ducky in space
Iâve got a decorator painting my living & dining room, so my house is upside down! Iâve got to clean up and put the furniture back in tonight/over the weekend. It will look lovely when itâs all finished though
Morning Summer.
What colours have you chosen?
Summer, I hope the decorating goes well My brother has been having some decorating done as well though there's been a bit of a delay as the person doing it hasn't been at all well.
Yogi, one advantage of having no laid plans is that they can't go awry
lol Very true, El.
Good morning everyone, feels a little chilly this morning and it's very grey. It's lovely to get everything freshly painted, I'm sure it will look wonderful when it's all done Summer.
Enjoy your day everyone
Back from the straightfoward client meeting.
In the States, someone has been fined $120 million for making rather a lot of "robocalls". He was responsible for placing 96,758,223 robocalls during a three-month period in 2016

Some striking photos of a natural phenomenon on the shore of California, could call it California Blue but then you might think of the Roy Orbison song or the police.

They need to hit more of them with hefty fines

Stunning pics, El
Yogi, it will be interesting to see what happens in the UK as from the 25th of this month. That's when the existing data protection law is replaced by GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations). Many of us will already have had letters and emails from banks and other businesses about this and there will be many more to come. I'm having to send letters to my clients about this.
Under the existing law, the ICO's maximum fine is ÂĢ500,000.
Under GDPR, the maximum fine is up to âŽ20,000,000 or 4% of the business's global turnover if that's greater. The ICO would only charge that level in extreme cases so will be very rare.
There is a loophole which has been mentioned in the media. Royal Mail has indicated to businesses sending out marketing mail that if the mail is sent to just an address with no name that the GDPR rules won't apply. As a result we could get a huge increase in junk mail just with the address without your name.

Thanks for the info, El
Any extra junk mail will go into the recycling bin.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Ros - that was fun tonight

Good morning everyone
Weather is dry, bright and quite chilly.
Iâm hoping to potter about in the garden ðĪðŧ
Have a good day, all.
Good morning everyone
Quite bright here, dry but slightly below average temperature here.
Yogi, I hope your gardening goes well
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
Itâs a little overcast here but the sun keeps popping out
It felt a little cool when I put my washing out just
Yogi, happy pottering
I just managed to finish weeding my back garden last evening before a light shower appeared. Timed that just right lol.
Have a great day with, I hope, with some warm sunshine everyone ð

Hi El
I have looked at our weather forecast for the early part of next week and we could get 18 to 19 degrees Monday/Tuesday
Then itâs downhill again
Good morning a pleasant day here today
iâve got my furniture & most other things back to normal now, i donât have a lot of stuff but itâs time consuming putting curtain rails etc back up..
yogi, Iâve kept the living room the same: an off white with red feature wall. The hall & stairs colour is difficult to define! Itâs a pastel, very light but sometimes it looks mocha and sometimes itâs a bit pink.. I chose it because itâs very light with a warming tone, I think itâll be perfect for the winter months
what are you all doing today?

Hi Sweet
Looks like you have had a busy time
Nice to be able to sit down in comfort in you living room again I bet
Howâs Miss Bramble?
I donât have anything planned for today. See what happens
What are your plans?
Good morning everyone, sort of middling this morning, trying to be sunshiny I think but not succeeding very well, let's hope it brightens up for all of us.
Enjoy your day everyone
Moonie, here it could get to 21 on Tuesday though drops down on Wednesday. At least you got your gardening done before it rained.
Squiggle, it could be quite sunny here late afternoon though it's then forecast to cloud over again. The forecast here is fairly OK for some days.
Summer, you must be pleased with the result of the decorating
This morning I saw a MIG 14 in front of me as I was driving along. No, it wasn''t a Soviet fighter jet (they had a MIG 15 and others with odd numbers). It was one of those cherished number plates, quite possibly worth more than the car it was on
What would you make of this if you saw it on the road

*night owls* good evening gang! Apologies for vanishing earlier, work got busy and we went out for tea after. I didnât realised it was Eurovision tonight! I would have stayed in to watch it if Iâd have known ðģðĪĢ
Moonie i hope todays sport was good ð miss Bramble is tip top thank you, very affectionate tonight
I hope the rest of you had a lovely day too

Good morning everyone
Quite sunny here and looks to be set fair for some days to come.
Havem't watched the Eurovision contest for many years. Seems wrong that the BBC are compelled to make substantial financial contributions to it but that the UK's chances of winning nowadays is zero regardless as to the quality of the song or who is singing it.
I hope eveyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
It has rained overnight, which has scuppered our plans to do a little bit of fence painting.
Summer, your chosen colours sound very nice. I hope you enjoyed your tea.
El, I think I might have been if Iâd seen that shed while I was driving.
Moonie, Iâm glad you enjoyed your sport yesterday. Do you watch the Grand Prix?
Squiggle, I hope you got some sunshine yesterday
I enjoyed my âpotteringâ yesterday. My patio fruit trees (which I was afraid had been killed by the snowy, cold winter) have finally got some blossom, and my cabbages, lettuces and onions have sprung into life. No sign of the spring onions but they were growing from seed, so still have time to appear.
Have a good day, all
Good morning everyone, a lovely morning here and although a little cold this morning I think it will warm up later. All sounds to be blooming in your garden Yogi.
Enjoy your day everyone
Yogi, it looks as if it could be dry weather from now through to Saturday evening so you may get a chance to do that fence painting
There's high pressure building over the UK so we may all get some reasonably dry weather for some time (no sign though of really warm weather returning yet).
A contender for the most scenic bus route in Britain:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/u...-yorkshire-44100363/
It's the 640 from Leeds to Whitby. It does pass Goathland (= "Aidensfield" of "Heartbeat").

Good afternoon Buddies
Sunny most of the day but cool and breezy so not to bad
Yogi, re motor racing, I donât watch it anymore because in my opinion itâs become to âtechnicalâ
To me it seems more like itâs the speed they can get out of the car rather than the drivers ability. However, I wil concede you do have to have extremely good driving ability and bravery to drive at those speeds putting your life on the line every time you get into one of those cars
Have a great evening everyone
When I was in the last year of the junior school the annual school trip was to one of the London airports (can't remember which as this was many years ago). When I was there I came across a motor racing simulator (would have been a precursor to arcade machines as those came later). I played it and did surprisingly well and got something like a championship rating - that's the closest I've ever got to being a racing driver

Great effort though El
Evening all
The weather did brighten up but, by the time it did, MrY had settled down to watch the Rangers football match, followed by the Grand Prix, so I didnât have to do any painting.

Hi Yogi
I was flicking between the Rangers game and other stuff. Every time I came back the score had changed. What a game
Good job I had it on ârecordâ so I could flick back to see the goals

Mr Y and sons werenât over the moon with the final score (Rangers supporters) but there were certainly plenty of goals.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Moonie and Ros
