That was good timing, Moonie
Hopefully, you weren't one of the people with the TSB online problems. The TSB site is back up but they are limiting the number of customers who can access it at any time to avoid everyone trying to use it at the same time.

Sometimes I hit it just right but occasionally I get off the bus down the road. It rains. I get home and it stops
No, Iβm not with that bank El
Also, I donβt do online banking either
Moonie, I'm glad you weren't one of those affected by the TSB problems and I hope no-one else here has either
I've been doing online banking for quite some time now. It does have its advantages but I know that many people don't want to. My brother doesn't. He had set up an online account with his bank but lost his password details. He did try to get a new password but the way he had set it up meant that the bank request for a new password was sent to a mobile phone number which he had changed. And the only way to change the phone number on the bank site is by logging in which he can't do because he doesn't have the password, and a request for a password change would go to the old phone number etc etc etc
That's what he's told me though I'm not convinced that he's right.
One of the major global cyber-attack websites has been taken down:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-43893420
It had been blamed for launching some four million cyber attacks including attempts against UK banks.
(nothing whatsoever to do with the TSB online problems over the last few days - those are unrelated being caused by the TSB trying to move customer data from the old site to the new one, they had to do that as they are no longer part of Lloyds so couldn't keep on using the same system as Lloyds - Lloyds customers not affected at all by the problems as they continue with the existing Lloyds system)

Thanks El and me too
Now that is a good explanation as to why I am a dinosaur when it come to online banking
The Radio 4 programme More or Less (which looks at the accuracy or otherwise of figures in the media) has been looking at the murder rate in the TV series Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-43860914
The first series was close to actual numbers, but the later series are not so accurate.
The aricle does mention Midsomers Murders though the mortality rate there is dwarfed by the most murderous place in TV - Cabot Cove.
Moonie, you're no dinosaur
The main reason I use online banking is that as quite a few of my clients pay me online rather than by cheque I can easily check to see when they've paid me.

Good morning much cooler here today, but still bright & sunny
what are you all doing today?
Good morning everyone, a bright morning but definitely back to cooler temperatures again. I'm expecting delivery of a new dishwasher as the old one died.
Enjoy your day everyone
Summer, I've spent the morning trying to file a partnerhip tax return with HMRC. There's a bug with the tax software I use (not HMRC's) and I've had to have discussions with the tax software people. It's sorted now but I've wasted a good hour as a result.
Squiggle, I hope your new dishwasher arrives on schedule My dishwasher still works well after many years and shows no sign of failing - but then I'm my own dishwasher
Oh nightmare El, thatβs an hour you canβt take back. Iβm glad it didnβt take any longer than that, I hope the rest of the afternoon runs smoother for you
squiggle I hope your new dishwasher brings you great fun!
iβm waiting for royal baby news, we should find out his name real soon now
Summer, then I noticed that an update for the virus scanner had resulted in the scanner a/v check etc had been turned off. I did get a warning message about that but I immediately turned the checks back on. They were off for about 5 minutes but I decided to do a full computer scan - luckily that was clean. The scanner updates do that from time to time but rarely. AVG Cloudcare is what I use which is mainly for businesses rather than individual use.
Still no news about the name for the royal baby, could be Bertram Wilberforce Reginald Pelham Grenville

Maybe I do.
Hello Velvet
Your post sounds like it's the lyrics to a song though I don't know if they do. They should be

The wanderer has returned.
Apologies for not popping in very often but I couldnβt get 3g/4g on my phone - no internet connection, no text messages etc, and the hotel WiFi wasnβt strong. I could send emails and read the forum but it kept timing out when I tried to sign in.
Anyway, Iβm back and normal service has resumed.
Hope you are all well, I missed you.
Welcome back, Yogi
As you can see Lori has put up the celebration decorations for your return
