*night owls* ðŸĶ‰

oh yogi im sending you some sunshine ☀ïļ in a jar! It’s not fair ours didn’t last long but kept trying throughout the day, it’s gone from 4 to 15 degrees in a day

I’m turning in early tonight because i’m walking all day tomorrow, sweet dreams and have a lovely Sunday everyone

~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone

Back to being cloudy here and some rain forecast during the day.

Summer, I hope you have a great walk today and that the weather is kind to you

Yogi, the series of Shakespeare & Hathaway is no longer on the BBC iplayer. I think it is almost certain that the BBC will repeat the series either towards the end of the year or in the early part of next year. That's what they have done with Father Brown and The Coroner which come from the same producers.

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning everyone

Squiggle, the weather here was lovely and sunny when I woke but it has clouded over. At least we has some sun, even if it was fleetingly.

El, I’ll keep a lookout for repeats of Shakespeare and Hathaway, as I love Father Brown and like The Coroner.

Summer, enjoy your long walk

Have a good day, everyone.

I think tomorrow could be sunnier than today and Wednesday onwards is when it's expected to be the warmest part of the year so far.

Yogi, I think Shakespeare & Hathaway felt closer to Father Brown in nature (though without the Christian aspects) than The Coroner.

For anyone who likes P G Wodehouse, there's a two part radio version of one of his Jeeves/Wooster books starting this afternoon on Radio 4. The cast is far from routine for a radio drama.

I'm getting more and more of those fake failed delivery emails. Latest one comes from "frank@fedex.co.uk". So looks genuine at first sight though their site is fedex.com. Format of the email is the same as others with them wanting me to download a shipping label which is their way of infecting my computer.

The clue is that the web address which it goes to is the same as previous emails and that the tracking number is 20 digits long which is longer than the normal Fedex tracking number (12 or 14 digits).

I got in touch with Fedex this morning to confirm that they had no record of any delivery with that tracking number and advised me to forward the email to "abuse@fedex.com".

So I've done that. I've also warned them that the link in the email (which is the same as the one I mentioned at the end of March) could be a ransomware trap.

I've also provided them with the ip address of the originator of the email. Though it is likely that the scammer would have faked that but at least it gives Fedex a chance of finding them.

I got a rapid response from Fedex saying that they are investigating it.

British spacecraft making HD clips of the Earth's surface capable of views from an altitude of 505 km. That's sufficient to be able to show moving cars.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/scie...environment-43775440
The clip shows firstly planes moving on the ground, secondly of cars though that has to be viewed at full screen to be able to make them visible. There's a third section but I couldn't make out what was moving on my screen.

BBC news item about a probe being launched by NASA today to monitor the singing of stars. As each one differs it's possible to find out information about them. Starts at 21 minutes 50 seconds in
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/...news-at-one-16042018

It slightly reminded me of the sound whales make when singing:

And you may remember the film Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home which was the one where the sound of humpback whales helped save Earth from destruction by a probe by their sound.

Good evening apologies for not turning in yesterday, I was too tired after the walk, which went fabulous no aches or pains, thankfully

i hope you all had a lovely weekend :hope:

Interesting article re the smart home.. I don’t think these “smart” everything’s can be good for our health, let alone security.

The weather has much much improved here, at last, thankfully I spontaneously cut my grass tonight!!!!

moonie i’m glad you’re resting well good to see you

sweet dreams everyone

~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone

Cloudy and breezy here. May get some rain later in the day.

Summer, I'm glad that you had a fabulous walk I wonder if at some point in the future the reliance on smart devices and impact on health will become an issue.

A BBC article from yesterday about there being an enzyme which digests the PET commonly used in plastic bottles and may be helpful to recyclers:

Good afternoon Buddies

Cold wind and drizzle here. That’s the weather forecast for today

Oh, I came across a strange thing at the start of this month. I tuned my calendar from what I thought would be March to April. Having only realised a few days ago the ‘missing’ month when I thought I had forgotten to change it

So, January, February, March, March, May

I thought my brain was having and ‘away day’ at first

Have a great day everyone

Moonie
