Evening all a rotten, wet day here. I hope you’ve all had better & drier day

El, I hope you’re having a wonderful time with your brother blueberry muffins are one of my favourites

Evening Summer. We had rain too, and it’s still chucking it down

Yogi19

Good morning everyone

Very cloudy here, not much in the way of rain though expected.

Thanks Summer, we are having a pleasant weekend and the blueberry muffins were nice. I hope the weather for you and also Yogi is an improvement today over yesterday

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning everyone

Another cloudy morning but at least it’s dry.

Summer, I have no real plans for today.

I think eldest and middle sons intend visiting - car related stuff with Mr Y, which doesn’t involve me so I might nip out and look for some summer blouses.

I hate clothes shopping so I might not bother.

Have a good day everyone

Yogi19

Good morning everyone, beautiful sunset last night and quite a pleasant morning now.  I'm glad your weekend is going so well, I love blueberry muffins and I'm glad you are both enjoying them.

Enjoy your day everyone

Thanks Squiggle

I've dropped my brother off at the railway station. He's going to have a longer journey than expected. Apparently there's a shortage of train drivers between here and Swindon leading to several of today's services being cancelled. There will be a limited amount of road transport and people can go via Bristol Parkway instead. He may be able to get compensation for any delay.

Yogi, if you did go blouses shopping I hope that went well

Although I could have driven my brother to Swindon rail station, that would take quite some time and I'm aware that the usual road route via the A417 will be closed from 8 pm for an 11 mile stretch whilst they try to sort out potholes. There's a diversion which doubles the journey time.

Sweet dreams yogi & velvet

Well done on your blouses yogi, I feel the same about shopping- I’d prefer a garden centre it’s lovely having new clothes though

El I’m pleased you’ve had a good weekend, how fast they go!

We've been out walking all day, Bramble is all tired out bless her. I really enjoyed the Durrells, it’s my favourite thing on tv lately

Goodnight everyone

Rocking Ros Rose

Good morning everyone

Very cloudy here with some rain forecast for later.

Thanks everyone re my brother. I rang him late evening and he got back safely though I could tell that he was tired. He got home 66 minutes late. It's up to him to decide if he wants to get some compensation. As it's over 60 minutes the delay should qualify for compensation.

I hope everyone has a good day

El Loro

Good morning, everyone

Weather is overcast atm

El, I’m glad your brother got home safely, if a little late.

I might have a wander round a garden centre today.

Have a good day, all.

Yogi19

Good morning everyone, a mix of blue sky and some white cloud this morning, I don't think there's any rain in the forecast.  That sounds tiring for your brother EL, I hope he slept well.  Have fun at the garden centre Yogi.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good afternoon Buddies

A strange day here. First it was misty but dry, then it was cloudy and dry, now it’s chucking it down

I see we are supposed to hit 20 degrees or above next week, according to the weather forecast on the television today

We shall see

Have a great evening everyone

Moonie

Moonie, locally it might get up to 19 C Wednesday week. As you say, we shall see.

Your weather has been much the same here though the rain is lighter.

I too hope you have a great evening

Good morning everyone

The rain here seems to have finally ended though it's still cloudy.

The Metcheck weather site shows temperatures increasing to 20 degrees next week, and a couple of days later falling to 2 degrees with heavy snow for my area. It's not the most reliable weather site around

I hope everyone has a good day

El Loro

Yogi, that site is not the most reliable when it comes to longer range forecasts. Why it has daily forecasts for something like 6 months is pointless. October 4th will have a high of 16 C, dry and with some cloud - that's what it says.

A man landed up in A&E after eating one Carolina Reaper chilli  in a chilli eating contest in New York State.

Apparently it's the hottest chilli pepper. It's 1,569,300 SHU Scoville units of heat and is about 500 times hotter than tabasco. The best known hot chilli, Scotch bonnet, varies between 100,000 and 350,000 units.

I've received one of those advance fee fraud emails. If you ever get an email, even though it looks from a reputable source and things like the name, address & phone number of the sender are genuine, which talks about an American called Robert Fitzpatrick who died when on Boeing Egypt Air Flight 990, which crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on October 31st, 1999, it's a fake. You'll never get the 4 million dollars promised.

(the flight disaster was real - the criminals behind the scam do their best to make the email look genuine)
