Good morning everyone
Sunny here, frosty start but temperature is forecast to get warmer.
Ex-BBC local presenter loses a tax case, The use of personal service companies to avoid paying national insurance has been commonplace for many years. This could be the most significant tax case for many years and many accountants and their clients are going to be concerned. Nowadays I don't have any personal service companies. If A has a company A Ltd which does work for say B, B pays A Ltd and A Ltd pays dividends to A so there's no national insurance. However if the contract between A Ltd and B amounts to effectively one of A being employed by B then the IR35 rules comes in and A Ltd has to pay national insurance ignoring that it had paid dividends rather than salary,

El Loro posted:I've found that the photographer, Grant Thomas, has a website of his photos and you can buy prints of them.

The photo on the BBC site is on his website, the first one included on the marine life section (that's where he's put it ) It costs ÂĢ1.95 for a small print, various higher prices for larger sizes up to ÂĢ58.95 for the largest size. I don't know if there's postage and packing charge on top.
You can get a much better view of the picture on his site compared to the BBC.
Good morning everyone, another bright morning and I hope the start of a dry spell. Still cold but, as you say EL, I hope it will warm up a little later.
Enjoy your day everyone
Google has had to make some changes to its image search.

That's why all the results now show "Images may be subject to copyright" underneath them.
Yesterday it was announced that there would be a real-life "Cluedo" game on the streets of Gloucester on April 14th. However the subject of the game is the fictitious murder of the Kray twins and it's up to Chief Superintendent Leonard âNipperâ Read to solve it. In real life, it was he who got the Kray Twins convicted,

And today, it's been announced that there will be a Peaky Blinders quiz in Gloucester on March 2nd.
https://www.gloucestershireliv...ucestershire-1223927
I'm not aware that Gloucester has any connection with either the Kray twins or the fictitious Peaky Blinders, so why does Gloucester want to start getting a reputation for gangsters? I've no intention of participating in either.
Good afternoon all
Still chilly but at least itâs dry.
El, Iâve never watched an episode of Peaky Blinders so Iâd be useless at that quiz.
Moonie, you definitely need to check out the links in Elâs post ^^^^.
Hope you are all having a good day.
Yogi, I've never watched Peaky Blinders either as it had no appeal to me.
Got a call from "John" from "Select Choice" wanting to ask me questions saying he wouldn't ring again if I answered them. Second time in the last few days I've had calls from them but as they use different phone numbers each time, there's no point in mentioning them. The first question was to confirm my address to which I said "It is" rather than "Yes", at which point he discontinued the call. So if any of you get similar calls, there's a real risk that these are criminals trying to con you into saying "Yes".
Yogi and El, I have just had a look at both links. The swans are absolutely beautiful âĪïļâĪïļâĪïļ
The undersea piccies are too
Good evening pardon me for being absent, Iâve had a very busy few days. The weekend is going to be busy too, but Iâm cosy in bed already tonight
i hooe you all had a good day
i LOVE those underwater pics, thanks El

No problem, goodnight and sweet dreams
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Ros
night yogi and summer( sorry I missed you)
Good morning everyone
Some cloud here, may get some showers, less cold than recently.
Yogi, I wish you luck in finding your colouring books and pencils
Summer, like Yogi, I've never been to a drive-in cinema. I don't think there are any locally. I hope you and Bramble enjoy the film
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, quite a nice morning with enough blue sky to make a sailor's trousers.
What will you see at the drive-in I wonder Summer, hopefully The Lady and The Tramp rather than 101 Dalmations which could be a little frightening for Bramble.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone.
Itâs raining up here.
El, after a 20minute search, I found the colouring books and pencils.
I intend having a relaxing day.
Have a good day all
good morning Pleasant here, I hope it stays this way all weekend
funnily enough squiggle, we are watching Lady & the tramp! they do pop up drive in cinemas occasionally, this is part of a 10 day valentines season.
Yogi iâm glad you found your colouring things, enjoy
Summer, that's clever of Squiggle to be correct with the film
Yogi, well done on finding your books and pencils
Coming back from Cheltenham today, the car immediately in front of me turned left as shown by the black line I've marked on this picture I've taken from Google maps. I assume so that the driver didn't need to slow down on the 40 mph main road.

Nigel Slater's Middle East, one of those gems which doesn't get mentioned but has been a delight. The 3 episodes are still available on iPlayer:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programme...q7g8/episodes/player
He visits 3 countries to meet the ordinary people, sample their cuisine, and makes some of the food back here. Lebanon, Turkey and Iran were the order of the episodes. Admittedly not all the food would attract us but the series is lovely with the warmth and friendliness of Slater and the people.
And the icecream shown near the beginning of the Iranian episode is quite a sight
Good afternoon Buddies
Lovely day here after a damp start
Almost like early Spring
I hope you all have a great weekend
