Evening yogi enjoy we’re watching House through the years. I think El would find it interesting

i couldn’t watch the video in your link El, it would give me horrors, but I will be careful when walking Bramble at the beach

Hi Summer I’m recording that and some weekend I’ll watch all the episodes back to back

I didn’t realise it was a series! I’ve series linked it and am looking forward to the next episode. My house is over 120 years old, and I do have a long list of all it’s previous owners

how was cbb?

Bramble has dumped me in favour of my mum tonight lol

I love historical stuff, especial social history

CBB is pretty good, no Geordie Shore or Towie types

Aww, you’ve been dumped for your mum

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here and not as windy as recently.

Thanks Yogi It was a reasonably productive meeting. I think I have all the info I need to do the client's tax return but it will the most complex one I've done for a long time. The client accepts that my fee will be higher than other years.

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning everyone

Cloudy, cold and frosty here.

Summer, you could be making Lori do overtime with your forum name changing :
Pancake Day 13th February
and then of course the following day is St Valentine's Day

I'm not intending to watch Hard Sun staring tonight as I'm not into apocalyptic nightmare stuff. It's based on the sun destroying this planet in 5 years time. The sun is 4.6 billion years old and scientists consider that it will remain stable for at least 5 billion years. 5 billion years is a billion times longer than 5 years. Oddy enough, the BBC page on the series has these two programmes which one might also like - New Tricks and incredibly enough Father Brown!!

I hope everyone has a good day

The last words of Steve Jobs, thought provoking.  He begins to get a glimpse but even at the last he still doesn't quite understand, very sad.

The last words of Steve Jobs -
I have come to the pinnacle of success in business.
In the eyes of others, my life has been the symbol of success.
However, apart from work, I have little joy. Finally, my wealth is simply a fact to which I am accustomed.
At this time, lying on the hospital bed and remembering all my life, I realize that all the accolades and riches of which I was once so proud, have become insignificant with my imminent death.
In the dark, when I look at green lights, of the equipment for artificial respiration and feel the buzz of their mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of my approaching death looming over me.
Only now do I understand that once you accumulate enough money for the rest of your life, you have to pursue objectives that are not related to wealth.
It should be something more important:
For example, stories of love, art, dreams of my childhood.
No, stop pursuing wealth, it can only make a person into a twisted being, just like me.
God has made us one way, we can feel the love in the heart of each of us, and not illusions built by fame or money, like I made in my life, I cannot take them with me.
I can only take with me the memories that were strengthened by love.
This is the true wealth that will follow you; will accompany you, he will give strength and light to go ahead.
Love can travel thousands of miles and so life has no limits. Move to where you want to go. Strive to reach the goals you want to achieve. Everything is in your heart and in your hands.
What is the world's most expensive bed? The hospital bed.
You, if you have money, you can hire someone to drive your car, but you cannot hire someone to take your illness that is killing you.
Material things lost can be found. But one thing you can never find when you lose: life.
Whatever stage of life where we are right now, at the end we will have to face the day when the curtain falls.
Please treasure your family love, love for your spouse, love for your friends...
Treat everyone well and stay friendly with your neighbours.

Good morning it’s sunny and cold here but lovely, I like it

squiggle, thanks for sharing Steve job’s words. He’s absolutely right, I wish more people would wake up to that way of thinking. The world would be a better place 🙏ðŸŧ

Thanks for the reminder El, I had forgotten to change my name after the strictly final! I must get on it... ðŸĪĐ I love that shrove Tuesday is early this year

🌜ðŸĶ‰ðŸ‘‹ good evening ðŸĪ—😘

sorry to have just missed you yogi and, I hope you enjoyed your programme

we’ve been catching up on Howard’s End, which I recorded back in the autumn. We’re half way through, it’s a bit mysterious yet predictable at the moment, it’ll be interesting to see how it turns out

the weather in America really is shocking, I couldn’t believe the sight of the cars stuck in the frozen flood waters

sweet dreams all 🍎ðŸ˜ī

Good morning everyone

Cold and frosty here.

Parts of the USA and Canada: -29 C (with wind chill feels like -67 C)
Sydney, Australia hottest day since 1939 +47.3 C

Average of those is 9 C which would be slightly above average in the London area at this time of the year.

Sad to hear that Jerry Van Dyke (Dick's younger brother) has died, he was 86.

Good morning everyone, blue sky and stately clouds, moving quite fast, although it's cold and still breezy it looks quite a nice morning.  It makes such a pleasant change for it not to be raining.  We have 2 littlies staying over at the moment, and to hear our little boy last night calling 'Granma' "yes sweetheart?" 'I love you' well I think that is just the sweetest thing

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone

Very frosty overnight.

I need to tidy my small bedroom, which doubles as the tiddlers’ toy room - atm, it’s difficult to see where the bed is

I walked to church and back this morning as it would have been just as quick as driving once I had removed the ice/frost from the car. It's a nice sunny day here but is cold and, although not much, there were still patches of ice on the pavements on the way back.

As we are now into Ephiphany we had We Three Kings as the opening hymn/carol.
