Good morning everyone, lots of cloud this morning, a bit grey. I hope all goes well with tree assembling Yogi, the littlies will enjoy decorating it tomorrow.
Enjoy your day everyone
Been getting in touch with those clients who I had needed to put off seeing last week. Been to the local sub post office to post a box of papers back to a client. 30 minutes waiting in the queue due to people dealing with Christmas post, some going overseas.Client dropped off his papers this morning unannounced. I told him he was lucky not to have come here last week but it seems that he had had much the same as me and had been signed off wotk for a couple of weeks with a chest infection (I'm aware that he has a long term health issue which wouldn't have helped).
Truly amazing BBC article today about a rainbow in Taiwan which lasted for 9 hours. In the pictures you can make out a triple rainbow.

I did get to see yesterday's supermoon, not that it looked much diiferent from a regular full moon. Here's a link to some photos which people took if you missed it:

The media is mentioning La NiÃąa and some of the media may say that the weather here is going to be extremely cold with blizzards for weeks to come. If you want a more measured view, the Met Office issued a news release about this today:
https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/n...017/colder-with-snow
Although some areas may get hit later this week, it's more likely to be the north and north-west. Met Office isn't expected a repeat of the winter of 2010/11.

If you've seen the memorable WWF advert about elephants, the music for that is taken from a piece of music by Max Richter called War Anthem. It was part of his music for the ballet Woolf Works which I posted about back in July.
Audio only:
Very sombre but powerful.

Fantastic! I have rainbow envy now.
That elephant advert which is the most powerful advert of the year can be seen on the production company's website:

It's the Just Like Us advert of course.
The I am Water - Dreaming and the WWF Brand film adverts are worth watching and aren't as sad as the elephant one.

Good morning everyone, we've got rain again and it's forecast to be worse tomorrow!
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning sorry Iâve been awol, itâs heen a busy time here
how are you all?
Happy tree day yogi
Squiggle, I hope your weather isn't as bad as your forecast
Summer, my bug has cleared up a lot now and my voice is less croaky than it was
As it's fairly mild and been dry for a couple of days I gathered fallen leaves from the back. I used the mower with bag to collect the leaves off the lawn (the leaves were reasonably dry so that was fairly effective way of doing that). Then walked to see a local client to get their tax returns signed off (husband and wife).
Make sure you have the sound on before trying this out:

Iâm glad youâre feeling better El thatâs brilliant. Well done on sorting out those leaves, itâs a tough job
Evening all
Had a really good day with the children, they loved dressing the tree.
I dare not tweak it as PB knows exactly where she placed each and every bauble
Iâll check out the Dickens link after Iâve watched MC and IAC, El.
I hope youâve all had a good day.
Good evening
lol at PB what if âsilly grandadâ or Keira accidentally bumped into the tree, knocking the occasional bauble off.. they would need replacing wouldnât they

She decorated the tree in their playroom, with BBâs help, of course.

Cloudy, dry and mild here. All change tonight and tomorrow though Caroline's impact less than elsewhere.
Yogi, I'm glad the tree decorating went well Take photos of it from all angles so that if any bauble gets knocked off you can put it back in the right place
Summer, Lady and the Tramp is worth watching if you get a chance to
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning dry and overcast here too, Iâm looking forward to a nice long walk today
el, iâll Look out for lady & the tramp among the Xmas tv listings
Good morning everyone, a cloudy morning, no rain yet but due to start this afternoon and the weekend looks awful.
Awww I have fond memories of me and my future hubby going to see Lady and the Tramp when we were courting, I hope you enjoy it Summer. I just looked it up to see when it was released and it was 1955 but I think they used to run a season of Disney films as we were courting in the early 60's.
Enjoy your day everyone
Summer, I hope you enjoy your long walk
Squiggle, you would be right about the Disney films. For many years Disney refused to let them be shown on television in this country, there was no such things as VHS tapes then, and they would re-release their films in cinemas for many years as that was the only way people could get to see them. The first Disney film I saw was in the cinema and that was Pinocchio which would have been in the late 50s.
