I think many of us would agree
By the way, if the 7th planet named after one of the Greek gods was pronounced in the Greek it would be "Ur Ran Noss"
Afternoon all.
My minding duties are over for now.
Glad to hear you are feeling a little better, El, and hope you are soon back to normal.

That made me RL lol
Hope you have all had a good day.
I've just rung my brother to let him know I'm still around and to check that he wasn't showing any signs of having got my cold or flu what it is. He hasn't which was good news. I kept the call short as it's difficult talking but said to him that hopefully by the weekend I'll be more able to talk.
Good evening ð ðĶ ð ðŧ i hope youâve all had a good day Iâve been a busy bee again but Iâm now actually in bed early!
El, Iâm glad your brother hasnât caught it and Iâm pleased to hear youâre on the up. Some fresh air for a short time tomorrow will probably do you good
Goodnight everyone

Itâs been a busy, thread hopping night, Ros
Goodnight and sweet dreams.
Good morning everyone
Cold and failry sunny here. No snow forecast here though others will get some.
I'm continuing to recover and may venture out when the frost lifts
Yogi, you must have been exhausted by your thread hopping night
Ricicles are twicicles as nicicles no more:

Good morning everyone.
Woke to a light dusting of snow on the ground - very pretty
El, I hope you are continuing to feel better
Out and about today, I have banking and grocery shopping to do.
Have a good day, everyone.

Iâm really glad you are continuing to feel better
lol at the BiB ^^^
Good morning everyone, it cold with a strong breeze but, like you EL, hopefully no snow. I'm glad you are starting to feel better EL, you are wise to wait until the frost is clear, breathing in cold air is not good for the chest, especially if you are under the weather.
I would have thought cereals were a matter of choice, I once liked Frosties but now choose a healthier cereal. If parents don't want their children to have a sugary cereal there are plenty to choose from in the healthier range. Oh well maybe it's just me but I get tired of the powers that be deciding everything for us.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning I hope you all slept well itâs very cold here, and icy. But itâs bright & sunny so weâre happy
I like Cheerios and shreddies
It's been many years since I've had any cereal other than the muesli I get from the fairtrade stall in church. When I haven't been able to get it from church I get it from the local Co-op which stocks Dorset Cereals muesli.
Good morning everyone
It was very frosty and cold here this morning. The sun is out but itâs very windy. I havenât ventured out and donât intend to either
El, good to see your feeling better since the last time I was here
Yogi, coffs...cake...coffs
I have been catching up on my Christmas shopping and writing on my Christmas cards. I have writers cramp now
Just two more to buy and four to fill in, phew!
Have a great day and stay warm
Thanks Moonie and well done on progressing with your Christmas planning
Well done Moonie ð I must get my cards written, Iâve never been so behind with them
itâs proper snowing here, and laying on the ground âïļâïļâïļâïļâïļâïļâïļ Itâs very exciting
Summer, it's snowing where you are because you are known for loving it
I found this lengthy interview with Honeysuckle Weeks which she did for a Yorkshire paper mid October where she was about to do some stage work there. She talks openly about being in a mental health unit and continuing to receive councelling and other things. You will recall that she disappeared last year for some days before she was found safe.

Squiggle, I agree about having choice. I donât like the idea of a nanny state.
Moonie, well done on getting your cards written. I havenât started mine yet
Summer, is there enough snow for a snowman
El, thanks for the link. Itâs good to hear Honeysuckle sounding so positive again.
Yogi, I remembered that advert as well though had forgotten that Kellogg's had used Noddy in their adverts for some time. This is an even older advert from 1955. It's possible that when I mentioned a few days ago having read virtually nothing with Noddy that what I had read was on Kellogg's cereal boxes which we had on a regular basis.

That one is before my time
Yogi, although my parents had television in 1955, they only had one channel - BBC Television and that broadcast for say 15.00 to 22.30 rather than round the clock. Although ITV started broadcasting in 1955, that was in London only. Although it became national over the following years, our aerial only got BBC where we lived. We eventually got ITV when we moved in 1967. So I never got to see adverts until then.
My parents actually got a television in 1953. Their house was packed with neighbours to see:

Weather is really cold and frosty. Brrr!
I need to restock on my bird food supplies today, as they are very hungry atm.

that's why a wren was the symbol used on the old farthing coin, the smallest coin. It was used on coins between 1937 and 1956 (ceased to be legal tender in 1960)
Good morning everyone, like you EL very cold but not frosty. I didn't know that was why the wren was used on the farthing EL, probably my favourite bird, they are so quick in their movements, I love to watch them.
Enjoy your day everyone

They are very cute
Although the wren was shown on farthings because it was thought at the time thay they were the smallest British birds, there are smaller ones such as the goldcrest,
Good afternoon guess which silly girl left her phone charger at work yesterday and had no battery last night..? ð
I hope youâre all keeping warm and dry have you had snow? We had a good pouring of it yesterday, which laid! Itâs melting away now but itâs a very exciting start to advent
Summer, there's been no snow here at all but none was expected in this part of the country. It's possible that there might have been some on the top of the Cotswold hills further to the east of here.
Are you saying that you forgot your phone charger yesterday

On the bird theme, I witnessed something sad today.
I was in the kitchen and heard high pitched screeching. In my garden, a sparrow hawk had caught a starling and killed it, before flying off with it.
