Good morning and happy birthday Ros!!!!
Good morning everyone
Cloudy and rainy here.
Thanks everyone re my a/v problem I think it may have been sorted out. I use AVG Cloudcare which is different to the AVG better known. The Cloudcare version is generally used by businesses through a central administrator, in my case the local computer shop. I turned on the computer just after 9, I was still getting the same messages. So I rang the shop as it would have opened. They were aware of the problem last evening as lots of other customers had been in touch with the same problem. The shop was in communication through to AVG. The problem lay with an AVG update which came through late yesterday afternoon, so nothing to do with my computer or going on to dodgy sites. AVG would be working on the problem which should be sorted out and a new update released. As my computer system was continuing to fully boot up at the end while I was still on the phone, the red warning over the software element of the a/v on its control panel switched back to green and has stayed there ever since with no more error messaged - so far.
I have to go and see a client now but I hope Ros has a lovely birthday
Good morning everyone, it's raining again! I hope your security problem is now resolved EL.
Happy birthday Ros
Enjoy your day everyone
Squiggle, so far all seems well with that security issue and no more warning messages since
The weather here is like one of those horror films where if it was night there would be vampires or werewolves around. Or on the moors with the howling of the hounds chasing after you. As it was on the way back from that client, the only wildlife I saw was a grey squirrel
or was it a were-squirrel.......

We had sunshine, then a shower of rain, and now the sun is trying to break through again
Iâm glad your avg problem seems to be sorted
Back from the doctors with the results from the blood tests etc I had a few weeks ago and all is satisfactory
The automatic a/v scan on my computer took quite some time today which is what I thought would happen given the problem yesterday. Took 2 hours 19 minutes. The AVG Cloudcare s/w is set to work in the background so isn't as instrusive as some. No issues found

A BBC politics quiz which might amuse you and is not really political at all as you just have to guess from the photo of the dog(s) which party the owner belongs to:

Some important news for mobile phone users posting to the forum. When posting using the phone text editor, emojis put in the text haven't shown up on the forum and have been replaced with a black diamond with a ? in the middle.
There has been a forum software update in the last day and Social Strata say that emojis will now be displayed correctly.
As I don't have a mobile phone I can't check this out. Perhaps one of you can to see if this is true.
Good morning everyone
It was very chilly this morning and itâs dry
El, itâs always nice to see the tiddlers
Need to go to the shops this morning and getting my hair cut this afternoon
Have a good day, everyone
Good morning everyone, dry and still this morning, with some blue sky. Good news on both fronts EL
Enjoy your day everyone
Still working on the huge client but currently on schedule. I've returned the 7 boxes of paperwork to them and am now waiting for more info from them before I can make much further progress.
Just received a client's papers through the post. He's now retired and it's probably the last time he needs a tax return. Very little to it and he would have done it himself but can't find his log in details. There was a surprise in the envelope which looks like:
As a hobby he's doing a bit of wood turning on a lathe. He's used padauk wood for the pen.
News of a hidden portait behind a painting, possibly of Mary, Queen of Scots:

You may need to look for a few seconds at the hidden portrait for it to become apparent.
And gives me an excuse to post a video of one of the most beautiful and haunting songs ever:
Sandy Denny singing.
