Lovely pic, Sqiggle. It reminded me of a holiday we had in Lanzarote. The villa was right next to the sea, and every morning we would have breakfast on the balcony and watch the catamarans and boats pass by - it was bliss!

That must have been grand Yogi. My laptop has decided to celebrate the Bank Holiday weekend by going on strike so I won't be about until later. Isn't it typical

I've run the diagnostics and it looks like a fault with the hard drive. I've made a note of the error message and I suppose I will have to call my computer guy after the weekend.

That's not so good. I hope the computer guy can fix it for you.
I hope you can get your laptop sorted out quick, squiggle . I hope you have a back up of important things on the hard drive or that it is possible to rescue files on the drive.

As luck would have it I have the back-up system all ready to go and have not yet done anything about it DOH!

She's a real character and keeping Piers in his place.
There was a man in her life when she was at Oxford, so she has had some romance in her life - so, I'm happy.

She didn't elaborate, just said they had broken up - and she had been very upset at the time.
He went on to marry someone else and has a family.
awww - a bit sad as well then yogi

I know. She also said (although she doesn't miss what she's never had) she would have preferred if she'd had kids. So, I think she would have liked to have been married and had a family.
awww that's a bit poignant isn't it i like her TBh - straight as a dye - not keen on her political leanings but as a person she seems great and very highly intelligent

She is a rare being - a straight and honest politician, and very bright.

She loved her time on Strictly. She says she'd rather have done Strictly than get a peerage.
Ros, I'm off for a bath and then going to watch TV in bed.
Thanks for keeping me company, speak to you soon.
awww - thanks for the chat yogi - night
Good morning everyone
A sunnyish morning. A slight breeze, but like yesterday it's expected to be quite windy with gusts up to 40mph, and continuing until Wednesday.
Yogi and Rosgirl, I agree with your comments on Ann Widdecombe.
Good morning everyone, its dry here at the moment but windy and it looks as though the wind could be blowing in some rain for later. Quite cold wind too by the looks of it.
I too agree with the comments about Ann Widdecombe I wish we had more honest politicians like her and it says a lot that she never got to hold any of the major posts in government, too honest?
Have a good day
Good morning everyone. The sun is shining again. We have had so many nice days recently, it's going to be a bit of a shock when we go back to our normal weather ie rain.
Hi everyone xxx Not much time for a chat i have the wee one, will take her out soon as its a lovely day here.
Have a nice day, whatever you are doing and will catch up later
Hi and bye Skylark, enjoy your day with the wee one.

Its grape and grain Skylark I was always told it was a big mistake to mix the two
Hi everyone What a hectic time its been here! Thats the wee one away, mum came for her . the dog got excited and the wee one got hit on her cheek bone with her tail. She is ok but its going to bruise, it wont go down too well at nursery in the morning but i will phone them up to explain.
Yes squiggle, i should have known better not to mix the drinks, but my sister said it was a cocktail. So its all her fault! It was nice at the time tho, with cranberry and rasperry juice with lots of ice. Thats it now tho, no more alcohol this year ! Nice pics too
Best wishes to Joyron

Dog tails can be like whips, Skylark, hope the wee one is okay.
Youngest son was 15months old when we got our first retriever, and I lost count of the number of times she knocked him down by accidentally whacking him with her tail. He didn't hold it against her, they loved each other to bits.
Hi Yogi, yes she is fine, she has been knocked on her behind a few times but this is the first on her face. Yes as you say, they will still be pals Dog is 12 now tho, about time she calmed down !

She's a Staffie isn't she, they are always full of beans?
Yes she is a staffy .Yogi, and very nosey, got to be in the middle of everything !
The only place to be.
Met middle son's future in-laws today, they are such a lovely couple.
Considering how nice their daughter is, I wasn't too surprised.
Had my brother on the phone yesterday, he lives in London so looking for a cheapish hotel. My sister and i going down to visit, probably around June. Could stay with him, but would rather have an hotel. My sister-in -law works so hard, dont want to impose. Dont know if we should get an hotel near them or near Kings Cross. They live in Woodgreen. Maybe just go for a Travelodge or Premier Inn, cant go wrong really, its just a base, wont be in it all day.
That was nice Yogi xx
If it's just to use as a base, then Premier Inns and Travelodge are as good as any. Hotels in London can be so pricey, can't they?
Are you going down for anything special, or is just for a visit?
Its just a visit Yogi, he doesnt keep too well. Just the day and overnight. Travelodge ÂĢ29 , but its not clear if thats just the room, or per person, plus its not refundable so will wait till we are clear about the dates. Trainfares are
