Good morning everyone, a surprisingly chilly start to the day but it looks as though it could brighten up to be a nice day.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Sunny here and forecast is for decent bank holiday weather in my area, so it's sure to pour
Moonie, I'm glad you've recovered
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone.
It has rained overnight and it's grey and damp atm.
It's not a Bank Holiday in Scotland but it's pretty typical BH weather.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning pardon me for being awol, it's been very busy
how are you all? And what are your plans for the weekend?
Summer, one thing is certain, I won't be watching CBB this weekend (I do know it ends tonight ). I hope you are able to relax some time
All about the dodo:

My plans for the weekend are, zero. I hope yours are little better
Have a great day
Moonie, Scotland has a bank holiday in early August so they don't lose out - they also get one on St Andrew;s Day
It's not April 1st:

I think I'll pass on that
The world's gone mad today. The first post above is the proposal for lorries in convoys on the roads with just the first lorry having a driver doing accererating and braking, The second one is a live action remake of Dumbo being done by Tim Burton. The third one is the admission by my local council that some of the recycled material which is suuposed to go into specific containers on refuse vehicles is just being tipped in a pile to be sorted out later.

This is super-mad world day
I once started watching the 1963 film It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World but gave up half way through (it's nearly 3 and a half hours long) as I wasn't enjoying it at all. I know it was and is a popular film but it just didn't appeal to me.

I haven't watched it either, El.
*night owls* good evening! I hope you've each had a good day
El, I won't be watching CBB either, I only watched the launch night. But I do hope everyone else enjoys it
Well, we stuck it out till the end.
Ros and I deserve 10 out of 10 for perseverance
Summer, I hope,you've had a good day.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Summer and Ros.
Well done yogi lol you both definitely deserve a medal
sweet dreams
yogi so true -bitter end
night yogi and summer
Good morning everyone
Rather cloudy here.
Well done or commiserations to Yogi and Ros for persevering to the bitter end
I wonder if you will be watching the Channel 5 Solitary programme on Monday? It's a single programme and is as opposite to Big Brother as possible. 4 people including George Lamb attempt to spend 5 days each of them in separate solitary confinement. Locked in a bland windowless container with no entertainment or sensory stimulation, no computer, no phone, no form of contact with the outside world other than an emergency panic button. A psychologist monitors them to see how they cope.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
Weather is cloudy, with brighter weather forecast for the afternoon.
El, I saw the ad for Solitary but I'm claustrophobic so I don't think I'll watch.
Have a good weekend, everyone.
Good morning everyone, a tiny bit of blue sky but not too bad a morning. I don't know why but I feel that programme is a wee bit creepy, I definitely won't be watching.
Enjoy your day everyone
I found this very moving, believe and trust.
Yogi and Squiggle, I doubt if I'll watch that programme either. My aunt, the nun, did consider years ago becoming a poustinik but didn't. That originated in Russia and is a form of solitude where they live in a poustina. Although living there is permanent a poustinik is available to be called on to aid anyone who calls on them.

Squiggle, that video reminded me of that time years ago when I was walking from the railway station across a very busy road to the bus station. I had crossed the road when I felt the need to turn round back at the island in the middle of the road. I saw a woman clinging on to a traffic light post there. I went back and she was clearly very drunk, crying and in a very sorry state. I was able to escort her across the road to the bus station to get her out of danger. There happened to be a policenan there and I was able to leave her with him out of harm's way.

You could be right El
When I was much larger and had a bushy beard, my sister said to me "there is a man on a local market stall who is the spitting image of you"
Nooooo, not one of those "Spitting Images"
Moonie, over the years I've been told that I'm someone I'm not by a few people. The most serious one was being accosted by someone saying that I had insulted him in a nightclub the previous night. The likelyhood of me doing that is zero. I was able to get away from him but it could have been much more dangerous - I have a suspicion that he was under the influence. The strangest one was at the bus station where I was in a waiting queue. A woman approached me accusing me of ignoring her - according to her I worked with her at the local hospital. On other times I've been told that I was a pupil at the school the man used to teach at (a different one to the one I went to) and also told that I lived in a road which, although in the area, is one that I've never lived in.
Of course, it's possible that all of the above is the same person, but I've never seen him.
