Night owl hug for Summer
Goodnight all it's been a fab day here, like actual summer! My walk was great and my guests have arrived safely, they're settling in comfortably
Good morning everyone
A rainy day here.
Summer, I hope you have a pleasant time with your guests
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning raining here this morning, I'm glad I enjoyed the sunny weather yesterday while we had it
how is everyone today?
Thank you El, it's fab to have my friends here
Good morning everyone, it was supposed to be very rainy today but so far it's just cloudy.
Enjoy your day everyone

Good afternoon Buddies
What a contrast between yesterdays weather and today's weather. Warm and sunny most of yesterday, cool and windy with a little rain so far today
Hope you are all full of life and vitality today
El, my sister had a text message purporting to be from HMRC saying she was entitled to tax refund and could they have some details.
I think I would be right in stating that HMRC would never text 'out of the blue' about a tax refund. Correct El?
Have a lovely day peeps
@Moonie , that's definitely a scam and won't be from HMRC. The scammers are trying to get your sister to give them her bank details so that rather than money going into her account it would be vanishing.
Link to HMRC page on this and there's a link for her to report the text message to them before she deletes it.

Thanks El, I thought it was a scam
Coincidentally, I have had paperwork from HMRC last week stating I am entitled to a rebate. It's looks official. The amounts of monies tax has been paid on look correct. No where on the paperwork does it show my full NI number. How is one to know if this is bogus or not. I rang a number on the paperwork which began 0300. You get though the usual 'press this number for this' kinda stuff and the first thing they ask 'can we I have you NI number please?'
Very confusing for me
Good morning everyone
Fair weather here.
I hope everyone has a good day
Moonie, I would have thought your NI number would have been shown and also a PAYE reference if you have any re emplotment/works pension.
The HMRC phone number for general income tax queries is 0300 200 3300. If you do a self assessment tax return each year it's 0300 200 3310. I would suggest the 3300 one.
Here's a link to a useful site (I think it was Squiggle who mentioned it). I've shown the page for the various options for the 3300 one.
http://www.pleasepress1.com/uk...oners-and-employees/
They will always ask you for your NI number and may ask you for your name and/or address.
Good morning everyone, a fair to middling morning. I hope you get a nice tax rebate Moonie, it will help to make up for all the things you have had to put up with this year.
Enjoy your day everyone

That was the number I was going to phone, so will do that
Thanks so much for your help El
A mind of useful information, as ever
Good morning everyone
Again, what a contrast in the weather. Really very sunny earlier on. Lovely and warm. Nice breeze. Clouds roll by at a fair lick. No rain forecast
Washing on the line and shopping done
Thats my day sorted thus far
Have a great day Buddies
Moonie, I hope you get through to HMRC on the phone without having to wait a long time and that you can get your tax refund sorted out with them It can take quite a long time to get through so it's best to do it when you don't have to rush out. There's a different number for agents such as myself which is a lot quicker and I get through to a more senior officer but it would be pointless you trying that number as they would pick up on that straighaway because you don't have an agent registered with them.
Good afternoon sunny and pleasant here today, and busy at work until now.
My friends are having a lovely time here and I'm enjoying their company
moonie I'm glad you're savvy enough to spot a scam, well done
i hope youre all having a good day, leaving a for yogi
Headline on my local news website today:
Thieves have stolen allow wheels from vehicles in a car showroom in the Forest of Dean.
At least they have spelt thieves correctly
Off out for a client meeting. May be back here later. A for Yogi.

Good luck with the meeting El
Moonie, thanks, the meeting went OK
The ironic thing regarding my local news website is that it's happy to report howlers that other people have made but have now made the same sort of mistake
Evening all and thanks for the hugs, you lovely people.
Squiggle, I hope your fair to middling day improved.
El, I'm shocked at that news website. Those howlers were bad!
Moonie, well done on spotting the scam.
Summer, I'm glad you are having a good time with your visitors.

night yogi and velvet and summer if you pop in
Good morning everyone
Fairish weather here.
Yogi, I hope you have a good day with the tiddlers
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, a little brighter this morning, still not mediterranean temperatures but considering heatwave 'Lucifer' that they have been experiencing over there that's probably just as well.
Enjoy your day everyone
Squiggle, I think that heatwave seems to be lessening now. Like you I'm glad we missed it though it's been an indifferent summer here.
Good morning another glorious summers day here and I'm off work so am taking the girls somewhere special today
hope you all gave a good day xx
