Evening all
I agree with the cow's choice. We're thinking of going to see Dunkirk.
It has been raining most of the day. I hope it's better tomorrow
Had visits from middle son and DiL and youngest son and future DiL

Summer, I hope you have a relaxing day today. The schools in my area break for the summer this coming Tuesday which is why I got my hair cut on Thursday,
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, disappointingly cloudy and feels a little chilly. I hope everyone has better weather than me!
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone,
Weather was bright when I woke but showers are forecast for the afternoon.
Squiggle, I hope your weather improves.
Glad you had a relaxing evening, Summer.
Haha El, I'll let you know once we've seen it.
Hubby wants to go to a big shopping centre near us, then hopefully a quiet day.
Have a good day, everyone.
Good morning it's sunny and gorgeous here today I've done a workout DVD and had a big breakfast. I'm going out soon for a low key hen do, just a meal and a few drinks (hopefully!)
i hope you all have a lovely day
Squiggle, I hope your weather gets a bit warmer for you
Yogi, I wonder how the new version of Dunkirk compares to the 1958 film of the same title - that one was directed by Leslie Norman, father of the late Barry Norman.
Summer, I hope you enjoy the hen do
The 5 year old girl who got fined for selling lemonade has been getting lots of offers from festivals, markets eyc wanting her to have a stall at rheir event:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-40697243
The full length version of the James Wellbeloved advert which is best seen full screen in case you haven't seen it or only the shortened version. And even the longer version leaves me wanting an even longer one. Watch Kack and his dog Harry.
(Music is Tim Dickenson;s version of Landslide by Fleetwood Mac),
It's rainig heavily here at present with rumbles of thunder. Anyone caiught outside in this will get drenched.
Watched the 1941 film "The Little Foxes" last night. Very good film with Bette Davis at her best in a chiiling role. Not suprisingly it was nominated for lots of Oscars but didn't actually win any. Films debuts for Teresa Wright, Dan Duryea and Patricia Collinge. A couple of years later Patricia Collinge played the part of Teresa Wright's mother in Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt.
I had a strange dream last night. I was standing in the middle of a busy bypass and there were lots of caravans going by on both sides. Then a caravan sped by going faster than any of the other caravans weaving in and out past them.
I turned round and could see a campervan in the distance coming towards me at a ridiculous speed (like over 100 mph). It was wobbling from side to side but managed to stay upright as it whizzed past me.
I woke up in bed at that point so can't say what happened next
Why I was standing in the middle of a busy bypass I don't know. The caravans would have been in my dream as I would have heard on the news about the motorways being very busy because of the start of the summer season.
I mentioned this to someone at church this morning. He then said that he had been on the motorway and had seen warning signs that there were pedestrians on the motorway
Evening all.
Summer, I hope you enjoy the hen night.
El, you've been having some strange dreams lately. Have you been eating cheese before bed?
Good to hear some nice people have invited that little girl to sell her lemonade at markets and festivals.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Ros
Hugs for any night owls
Evening all I've survived the hen do, phew we did get rained on but it didn't stop us from having a giggle
El, I'm glad it was just a dream we do have some mad ones don't we!
I'm also very happy for the lemonade girl, I cannot believe they actual fined her
Sweet dreams yogi and other night owls
Good morning everyone
A fairly sunny day here and no rain expected.
No, I didn't have cheese before going to bed and no strange dreams this last night
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning
It's dry and bright up here.
Forecast for the rest of the week isn't good so we are going to mow the lawns today.
Glad to hear you survived the Hen Night, Summer.
Have a good day, everyone.
Good morning everyone, a lovely blue sky morning here. I'm glad you had no strange dreams last night EL. Sounds like you had a giggle Summer.
Enjoy your day everyone

A lot of people got caught out, the local B&Q had to be closed for the rest of the day as water was coming through the roof in places as did the local TGI Fridays. My local weather site showed a bit over 5 mm of rain. Not a huge amount but when that took just 5 minutes, that's what caused the problems.
Crikey that's quite the downpour I hope everyone is safe
good afternoon it's wet and cold here, and we're all tired but feeling fine
Summer, I'm not aware of anyone being harmed in that downpour, just rather wet. The record for the most rain in 5 minutes in the UK is a lot more - 32 mm in Preston back in 1893.
I'm glad you are fine though tired after your hen do
Haha Summer, the morning after the night before.
Gosh El, that must have been a lot of rain!
It's been a beautiful sunny day, up here.
I'm watching the programme about Diana, Princess of Wales on ITV.
Very moving, listening to William and Harry talking about their mum.
I saw it too yogi, and can completely relate to Harry's grief. Mine only lasted 4 years, which felt bad enough, so I really feel for him. I adore the young royals, and think the work they do with mental health awareness is just fantastic

I think their mum would be very proud of them, Summer.
I still have to watch the last half hour as it clashed with BB. Cant't wait for BB to end, it is dire.
Goidnight and sweet dreams, Summer and Ros
night yogi and summer
Good morning everyone
It's summer here today but just the one day - may ger some showers late on and tomorrow forecast is wet and windy.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning overcast and cold here, but at least it's dry
yogi, when will BB end??
Summer, BB ends on Friday and CBB starts next Tuesday. I don't watch them but I keep a check on the start and end dates so that I can let Lori know when to have the twitter widget in place. She won't be taking in down between BB and CBB as it's a very short gap.
Good morning everyone, enjoy your day of summer EL, like you we are due quite a bit of rain tomorrow so I am hopefully getting any outside stuff done today.
Enjoy your day everyone
Oh wow! I didn't realise it was so close to the end I nay start watching it again then lol
do we know who's going in the CBB house yet?
Summer, the papers have rumours about who such as:
https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvand...launch-date-rumours/
As usual, I won't be watching.
Apparently most cash machines are effectively a safe with a computer inside. So it's fairly easy for a crook to drill a hole in the front, get access to a USP port inside and do something such as getting the machine to discharge lots of notes. Or put in some malware to get access to customers' pin numbers etc. Not helped by the fact that many of the machines are still using Windows XP.
The advice is to use a cash machine inside the bank or one where there's good CCTV overlooking the machines.
Another thunderstorm here at present though a more normal downpour compared to the one the other day.
Spoke too soon. No sign that storm is abating and already 20 mm of rain in the last 25 minutes so there's going to be flooding in the area. Disconnected the TV aerial.
It's easing off at present 28 mm in 40 minutes. Met Office showing a 30% chance of a shower at 18.00 with a 50% chance of a thunderstorm at 19.00. No weather warnings issued.
Too soon to know what flooding has happened though I have heard sirens from emergency vehicles (though may not be connected).
Seems to be mainly a lot of water on roads with either very slow traffic or a few impassable at present. Police telling people to drive slowly so as not to send waves into properties. Looking outside, there had been a lot of rainwater running down both sides of the road but that has now gone.
Met Office map did get updated to show that the rain over Gloucester was coloured white, their top level, at > 32 mm per hour. No warnings given though.
Evening all.
I had a good day with the tiddlers
Summer, I see El has given you the BB/CBB info
Gosh El, sounds like you've had some downpour!
Squiggle, I hope you managed to get your outdoor stuff done today.
