Yogi, talking of blue eyes you might want to make a note of a 1954 film called Suddenly to be shown on the Talking Pictures channel on Saturday 22nd at 18.00.

It's been very rarely shown on television and is a dark thriller with the lead played by old blue eyes Frank Sinatra in a very different type of role from anything else he was in.

My Virgin planner doesn't go that far ahead but I've noted a reminder on my message pad on my bedside table and will set the TiVo to record it as soon as I can.

Squiggle, the holidays we had with our parents when we were young and would go rambling in the countryside around Stroud and Painswick area. And the day we were in a field somewhere to the south of Gloucester where we sat down for some refreshments - I picked a clover as one does and realised it was a four leaf clover. I took it home to keep and I've still got it.

Good afternoon Buddies

Been busy the last week or so. Personal stuff

I hope you are all in good health

The last two days have been scorchers here

We are promised thunderstorms and heavy rain. Still waiting for the ones they promised us at the end of the last hot spell

Have a great day and stay well hydrated everyone

Good morning everyone, a lovely cool morning, quite a bit of white cloud but it promises to be another lovely day.

I have been reminiscing about some lovely holidays we've had so I'll ask a question, what were the best holidays you remember?

Enjoy your day everyone

Hi Squiggle.

I loved family holidays when my late brother and I were young. We didn't go abroad, we holidayed in Scotland. Country walks, visits to castle, beaches and picnics. Happy days.

I also loved a couple of big family holidays we took in Lanzarote. Hubby, three boys, my parents and youngest brother, in a huge villa with pool. The second villa looked out over the sea, so had stunning views.

I also got to go in a pool with dolphins on a trip to Dominican Republic, which was amazing. Those beautiful creatures seem to look into your soul.

TBH, I'd prefer to see them swimming in the ocean, where they belong.

Moonie, I think many areas won't get the thunderstorms - there's the same weather warning here and there's no sign of any. I hope there's been some progress with your house issues

Yogi, it's believed that dolphins are the most intelligent being after humans. They are beautiful I'm not surprised about postponing cutting the grass in this heat

Some woman rang me just now wanting to ask questions about the economic situation. There was a pause before she spoke and she had a noticeable Chinese accent. So I said I was too busy and rang off. I'm not convinced it was legit.

I got a call from a man with an extremely strong Pakistani accent, who tried to tell me his name was Peter Wilson and he wanted me to claim for an accident I'd had.

I managed to cut the front lawn before the rain started. Hopefully, the rain will clear the air.

El, I love dolphins.

Yogi...Yogi...send some rain down here perleeeeeeze

I adores dolphins almost as much as swans and cygnets

*sends some rain to Moonie*

I know a little girl who might also prefer swans and cygnets to dolphins

Good morning everyone

Sunny here at present but forecast to cloud over.

Summer, I hope you've had a nice time with your mum

Yogi, I wonder who that little girl might be

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning El. Good morning everyone.

The weather is cool and cloudy this morning.

I am hoping it stays dry so I can potter about in the garden today. The hanging baskets need dead heading and I need to do a little weeding in the raised bed.

Have a good day everyone.

Yogi, I hope you are able to do the gardening you want to today

The weather is showery and chilly so I've postponed the gardening until tomorrow, as the forecast is much better for Saturday.

I've been to the garden centre and didn't purchase a single plant.

I did buy two mugs, a 1000 piece jigsaw and a small notepad and pen. Did I ever mention I have a thing for mugs and notepads?

I've never been to Italy but I'd like to go.

Squiggle, I love books that make us feel like we're on holiday Erica James is good at that too

Sounds like a really lovely day with your mum, Summer.

I like Erica James' books too.
