*night owls* guess which idiot posted in the Darnie thread earlier, thinking it was in here..?

i hope you're all hydrated and cool, it's been scorching here and is still hot tonight.

I've kept bramble at home so she can stay cool, and I've used the time to be productive as well as relaxing. I overheated my poor shredder but now have a lovely clear office space and spare room

~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone

Sunny here with the temperature now forecast to get to 30 this afternoon.

Yogi, I'm glad you had a good day with the family

Summer, I hope Bramble is coping in the heat Is your shredder a table top one or a standalone one? I started off with a table top one which just couldn't cope and packed up. I have a Fellowes standalone one now which is a lot sturdier than the one I had.

I hope everyone has a good day and stays hydrated

Good morning everyone, a lovely cool morning with a slight breeze.  I hope everyone managed to sleep OK.  Sounds like you had a productive day Summer.  I haven't seen a hedgehog for years now, our dog Ben used to love to play with them, he was very gentle, but he always picked up fleas from them.

Enjoy your day everyone

Moonie, sounds as if your swan family are doing well even though it's rather warm

It's was rather warm walking to church and back today.

Squiggle, 28 is the maximun forecast here for today, 29 tomorrow is the peak, still hot until Thursday but back to average by Friday.

It was a confirmation service in church this morning so a bishop was here for that. He's retired but used to be at Hereford and I remembered him when he presided at a confirmation service here a year ago.. During his address he mentioned Father's Day. It's not like Mother's Day which takes place on Mothering Sunday. Mothering Sunday used to be the day when people returned to their mother church (strictly the one they were baptised at). He mentioned that one could have Fathering Sunday.

They are indeed El

Good morning everyone

Well, yesterday was hot and today is set be even hotter

It's not set to get any cooler until the end of the week

I nearly melted yesterday

I decided not to go up the park until late yesterday, around 8-45pm. It was lovely. The swans and cygnets where feeding away like mad on the pond weed and some food I took for them. There are still 8 cygnets

Then they retired for the evening on the large island in the large pool

It's quite shaded and cool there despite the loss of one of the large trees during the storm a couple of weeks ago.

Have a super sunday everyone and and stay hydrated

Sounds like cygnets are coming along well

They are looking beautiful, even covered in pond weed

Glad Bramble is okay in this hot weather Sweet

Moonie, it's very warm here too. Last night much the same as you, tonight is forecast to be 2-3 degrees warmer for my area. I'm able to sleep fairly well in hot conditions but I know it's a problem for many. Although I have a thin duvet during the warmer months of the year, I just have a sheet rather than the duvet. It's a cotton sheet which is much better than polyester in hot weather.
