Weather is sunny ATM but there was a heavy shower just after 6am.

I've been watching the awful news of another terrorist attack, this time in London.

I have to keep reminding myself that, there are far more good people in this world than evil ones.

Thanks Squiggle, I've just dropped my brother off at the railway station and there doesn't seem to be any change in his journey back as he lives to the NEE of London rather than the area targeted. Though he's aware that one of the attackers lived in Barking which is where he used to work.

Summer, the time flew this weekend, my brother expects to visit me towards the end of July though the timing may change depending on engineering work on the railways.

Squiggle, it's much the same here. The June church magazines were later than usual and I didn't collect them from church until yesterday. I decided to deliver them on the way home from church so as not to need to deliver them today.

You may remember I posted about Thaxen Developments ringing me about concrete guttering over and over again. Eventually I contacted TPS who told them to stop ringing me. That was late April and they haven't contacted me since. Then today I got a phone call from a similar company called Trent Valley. I told them they should check before ringing as to whether the recipient's number is registered with TPS - their response was that they don't do that. I told them that they should remove my number from their database and not to contact me again - they indicated that they won't remove my number. I noted that the phone number was withheld (which is also a breach). I told them that they were in breach of the ICO's marketing regulations - their repsonses "that old chestnut".

I think you can guess what I did when the call ended

And I've had an email from the TPS saying that they have told Trent Valley Fascias to stop contacting me. That was quick work by the TPS

i enjoyed the BB launch, I liked a couple, can tolerate a couple and could do without the rest. But I'm going to stick in this year, I liked the variety of HM's and hope to see the bitchy/plastic one evicted sooner rather than later

Work is busy with a rush of people who avoided the school holiday last week

Got a routine email from Amazon today, this time on some of their DVDs. The first film they mentioned was a 1947 film called Nightmare Alley which starred Tyrone Power. I remember seeing that film many many years ago on the BBC. That was in the days when on Staurday evenings they would have a season on film noirs (that would alternate with a season of westerns). Nightmare Alley is one of the few films I can recall instantly as there's no other film like it. He plays the part of what we would call a mentalist and quite a lot of it is set in a carnival. It's so dark that it could almost be regarded as a horror film. It's on Youtube but it's a very different type of Tyrone Power film from his usual swashbucking type.

Evening all.

Pouring rain all day but I still had a good time with PB and BB. We had an indoor picnic lunch - complete with picnic blanket on the livingroom floor.

We did some craft stuff and BB had fun with his sit-and-ride car, and dancing!

I love the steam engine clip, El.
